I like him. I don't want him for Surgeon General. But, I like him. Just the other day I was remember the story of (I believe it was actually) his grandmother who directed him to do 2 book reports per week while she was pretty-much illiterate. Very, very inspiring story. I'd like to see him involved in education.

Ben Carson and his wife have been quietly giving out educational scholarships for the past 20 yrs.

Carson was raised by a single mother who left his father when she found out he had another woman.
When she found out Ben was failing in school. His mother laid down the law :no playing :no tv Only after writing 2 book reports a week. He claims within six months he loved to read and learn.
Oh yes and that's right he became a world renowned brain surgeon. Well done Mrs. Carson, well done!!
