Something to ponder when using digital services, any digital services, that if they get pissed off at you, what you can lose. Seems not something you want to go whole hog with at any time.

A perfect example of a reason not to use the cloud. TANSTAAFL. Pay a few bucks a month and get your own server from a private company. Add your own domain for $10 a year and have a unique web presence.

Oh, yes indeed, however, I can say that security becomes such a pain in the A@@ with idiots hacking into them, or trying to. I am going to download all my stuff and put on Blu-Ray disks at 25 GB each...

It may be safer to put it on hard drives, nick. If BR disks are like DVDs the long term stability (30 years+) is an unproven theory. Hard drives are cheap enough, too, and take even less space in the safe.

I am not so sure, I have found thathard drive are much more subject to issues even as time goes on, I have used some older ones in free rebuilds for people and found they have developed issues with spin and balance over time. I have old video on 10 yo CDs (which are early generation dyes) and they still are as good as when I recorded them. I keep them in CD holders and dark.
