It will not surprise me if the Democrat party breaks up into a progressive/socialist and a traditional democrat party. The Ellisons of the party would go the socialist route (and might even entice Sanders to join them), and the Jim Webb traditionalists would set up their own party, economically conservative and socially liberal. The traditionalists might survive, siding with the Republicans on budget issues and opposing them on social issues. I'm not so sure about the socialists survival.

If the Trump administration is at all successful, and the GOP learns the lessons Trump is teaching them about inclusiveness and pragmatic solutions, we may have seen the last Democrat in the White House. Conservatives may not like the impure ideology that results, but it would be hard to argue with the approval of a voter population that is center-right.

The current Democratic Party and Hamas. Not a heluva lotta difference. Hamas is a terrorist organization intent on wiping out Israel and going on to wipe out everyone who disagrees with them. The Dems are an organization that attempts to terrorize through the Media. They put down the only free state in the Middle East, they defend an out-and-out crime family and run it for president. They are intent on wiping out anyone who disagrees with them. They could be cousins. Looks as if Ellison would fit right it to Hamas -- er, the DNC.
