Hillary did not win the genuine popular vote. I predicted Trump at 76%, and I'm sticking to that number.

Lots of weird things happened, such as the last-minute "discovered" ballots in Durham NC that voted only for Hillary and for (NC Governor candidate) Roy Cooper but not for any of the other positions on the ballot. The strange result is that Republican Dan Forest won the Lieutenant Governor's position, while Democrat Roy Cooper squeaked into the Governorship by 5000 votes.

The interesting thing is that the polls can also DRIVE votes in the opposite direction. If I am leaning towards candidate X and I'm told X is in the lead, I may decide that its too much of a hassle to wait in line, etc. However, finding out that Y is leading may make me take that extra step to actually go out and vote.

The same goes for election night results coming through. Polls are still open on the West Coast while we're hearing ("with 1% precincts reporting") that Y is in the lead or captured a key state may drive voters out west to reconsider whether they show up or not.

If I were running for a national office, I would actually want to be a couple points behind in the polls on the Monday/Tuesday of election week (or, ideally, be leading by a huge margin at that point).

It appears President Elect Trump is trying to be a peace making unifier which I guess is smart when trying to get your lead the country act together.
Hopefully, he'll run his key positions like his old (if you can't hack it) "You're fired!" persona.

Compare to Reagan. Trump understands, "You're fired!" better than Ronnie ever did.

We ought to keep watch, hold Trump's feet to the fire if need be, but more than that be watchful of both House and Senate Republicans who try to undercut him in the interest of "business as usual."

The polls are based on popular vote. Hillary won the popular vote. So, are the polls rigged? (Don't get me wrong, I certainly did not vote for Hillary!)

Now, that is very true. His choices in key positions will drive it all. Either he gets mavericks who will not take crap from the bureaucracy, or he gets insiders and will suffer 4 years of "why we can't do it".

I think there was a lot of people under the radar who are just fed up with the Fed, and will go with anyone who claims they will try to kill it. Not the usual "reduce government" crap, but kill it's parts off.

Yes, and what he does to the Republicrat leadership who left him out to dry after September. He does not impress me as one to allow people to stab him in the back without some kind response.

They would need to hire a rational thinker, and could not advertise the job in DC for sure!

Obama and his arrogant approach to leadership his devisive tactics have created a very divided nation. The liberal elite are stunned and the slander the insults the pouting begins. The good news is a rational thinker would try to examine what went wrong and fix the problem, these democratic losers are blaming the same voters they need to attract for victory. They use bullying tactics and then with a secret ballot, the bullied votes them out.

When Clinton/Sanders supporters began the labeling of Trump supporters as the seven deadly sins I won't name them but we all know what they are. This labeling created a silence among people saying nothing or even masking their support for a good hair day.

The polls were not rigged. For no apparent reason, 3% of the voters suddenly decided to switch from Hillary to Trump on election day. :-)

I watched Fox and the Blaze; My wife abc...there was a bigger difference between the two than the distance between each side in the continental divide.

As I posted several times, most of the polls were miniscule samples, some with biased questions and others not statistically designed. When I looked at the larger sampled statistical polls in the last few days before the election it was clear that Trump would likely outperform the expectations. And he did.

In the last couple of days before the election I was looking at the undecided -- which was frequently not in the charts. It was running about 4-5%. Either it was closet Trump support or broke for the outsider at the end.

Just a reminder, NOBODY OWNS TRUMP. The future will be interesting since "The devil is in the details".

I voted for Ted Cruz in the primary; but looking back, I kinda doubt he could have beat the Clinton Criminal Cartel Godmother.
Rush is right: The RINO mainstream GOP created the The Donald Candidate they did not support.
The Trumpster's presidency will be interesting to watch.

More, the MSM (including Fox news- at least their hosts) were bought and paid for by the DNC. The behavior of the Fox news commentators was fatalistic with every positive remark about DTs positive progress.

NO fan of DT but this has to make me think he may be the shake-up the country needs.
