they used PC to make that happen for months and months. All the husbands who were hounded by the wives to vote for the beast. The husbands probably said "yes, dear", and voted for Trump. Secret ballot is great.

I went on record saying the emails would sink Hillary way back in the primaries. I was wrong there. Then I said that someone was going to come along out of the woodwork and bump her out of the running like happened with Obama. I thought it would be Sanders. I was wrong on that one. As it turned out I was "sort of right" in the end, in that her crookedness came back to haunt her and Trump came out of the proverbial woodwork and kicked her out for good. three cheers for Karma...

    There's a reason why there's a secret ballot.
Wonder how many "agree with me or I'll make you miserable" PC bullies got secretly paid back Tuesday.

I saw Johnson's outraged face when he objected to "illegal alien" being said.
There's something about Jeb's smile that makes me think of a contented cow.

I would want closet deplorables so no one really knew what was going to happen until it was too late. Trump emphasized local events where he could deliver his message in a personal way. I went to one and it was crazy in terms of excitement levels. Obviously it was the way to go for him.

William Livingston said that if a Professional Engineer ever appeared in a public office, that engineer would be stoned by the others and the electorate. I am not happy about that personally, but I believe it.

And the closet deplorables, in the security of the voting booth, just voted the way they were going to anyway

I think you are right. And the results would have probably been the same and Trump would still be the president-elect

I had signs at my house, stickers on my car. I am deplorable and freed from the chains of PC. If others dont like what I think, so be it. I can tell you that once I would say who I was voting for, people around me would chime in sheepishly that they were voting for Trump too.

My wife received a call from one of the polls. The poll person hung up on her immediately after she said she favored Trump. BUT the call somehow didn't hang up. She could still hear the caller, talking to someone else. "Why'd you hang up?" "It was just a Trump supporter." "Oh, okay." She then heard other people being asked ten or more questions

I'm still sticking to my 76% number!

True. Some of Hillary's people are calling "foul" because she received more popular votes than Trump. But if the election were by popular vote, both campaigns would have been run very differently and the outcome would have been different. For starters, Trump would have been spending more time in California and New York, and both candidates would likely have totally ignored Alaska and Wyoming.

I'm a Tarheel too, and I have grave doubts about the integrity of those vote totals coming out of VERY liberal Durham county at the last moment. I'm suspicious of the "technical problems" that led to the polls being open there long after they had closed elsewhere. I'm hoping the recount efforts will uncover the Democrat shenanigans.

Some polls were "rigged" if you consider poorly designed and biased polls as rigged. those who funded and published those polls kept them at smaller samples (and sometimes non-statistically valid) because they are easier to manipulate.
The national polls were by definition misleading because they didn't account for electoral votes. Hitlery's concentrated support in large urban centers: NYC, Chicago, and Bay Area CA slanted the national popular vote, but the more wide-spread less urban vote was more important electorally.

Actually the useful polls were the statistically valid, large sample (over 1000), unbiased state by state polls. Nationwide polls, even unbiased ones, have trouble accurately predicting the electoral results. A couple days before the election, it became clear to me based on the state polls in the dozen or so "too close to call" states that Trump was in a much better position than Hitlery.
This election shows one reason the electoral college system arguably exists: to lessen the chance of unequitable rule by disconnected urbanites in big cities.

A born in the USA purely rational emotionless Mr Spock would never be elected president by our collective We The Passionate People.
That's me dino's story and I'm sticking with it.

Trump outperformed his poll showing in almost every primary as well as the general election. I think that from the start, there were quite a few voters who favored Trump but were unwilling to say so, even to a pollster, lest they be thought "deplorable."

This election was unique in the history of the US. There has never been another one where the losing side was so convinced, right up to the start of the election, that they'd win, AND was so convinced that their opponent was the essence of evil. Keep this in mind and have sympathy for your lefty friends. Don't mock them.
