Wait Times to Vote Reach Up to Four Hours Due to Voter Suppression Efforts

Amazing. Government ineptitude is "Republican efforts at suppression" Yet we managed to have elections for years with it on a Tuesday, and everyone managed to do it in the 50's-80's, until we loosened up all the rules so everyone could vote as much as they wanted, completely unregulated and manage the system for the power parties needs. Since this is all ran by elected officials, why haven't they replaced them? Instead, it becomes the excuse to make more manipulation...

Funny, they seemed to miss the fact that they abandoned Trump in droves in September. I hope he screws them all...

From what I've read yesterday and today, it appears Trump is trying to make peace so those who abandoned him will work with him.
Maybe RINOs can now grow spines since they will no longer be intimidated by pulled race cards and threats of government shutdowns.
Maybe. Temper tantrum protesters are now marching around with silly signs that has racism written on them.

Hi Nickursis, It is well worth the wait to see the rejection of the establishment. 1st Brexit rejecting a kakistocracy in the EU. Today Trump . Now good luck Clintons, as I said before--- the truth of their corruption has been exposed and consequences should follow. Go secure borders, go away obamacare , go away nonsensical regulations, go away PC ,go energy coal .....sorry doing a little happy dance now.

Most politicians lie, and lie, and lie. Take for example, base line budgeting. Wipe away all the B.S. and out comes a system where a tax increase that's not a big as last years tax increase is called a tax cut. Are we stupid? We must be, in order to go along with this for so many years. In all the rules and regulations there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of these slight-of-hand manipulations. Here's a rule to consider: Anything over 50 pages long is probably a lie.

If it canot be summarized clearly in one or two, it is probably a lie, that was the whole thing with Obamacare and how they got it all the way they wanted. Many congresspeople said they didn't read it yet voted for it. Anything needing 1800 pages is full of crap to the gills. Part of the arsenal of deception.

Here in Henrico County, Virginia, we processed voters for no longer than an hour, with everyone rushing to beat the poll closure. To the point that they all voted in the morning and early afternoon, and our business slowed to a trickle before the polls closed. We ran the tape with a 75 percent turnout, and turned no one away. And we did it with paper ballots fed to a scanner and deposited into locked bins.

So don't tell me about voter suppression.

Thanks, but don't credit me. Credit the designers of a paper-ballot-and-scanning system. They put that system in place in time for the Election of 2015, which in Virginia was an off-year election, mainly for State Delegates and Senators. This was its first true stress test: a Presidential election, and a hot one. From my vantage point, the system passed.

Amazing at how they seem to fail only in hotly contested elections where the wrong person is winning. In Oregon, they then seem to need recounts, which magically morph into the right guy winning. Amazing at how many "errors" get fixed in recounts. One reason I do not trust vote by mail, the County clerks are in control of the whole system and I do not believe they are non partisan.

Before the paper ballot system, Henrico County used those same George Soros-linked electronic touch-screen voting machines that left no paper trail. Why did Henrico County get rid of them? Because they proved too difficult for voters to operate! The word I get is that the 2014 Midterm was a disaster.

This time I spent a great deal of time--maybe a minute or two per voter, worst-case--explaining to voters how to mark their ballots and where to take them for scanning. We also "spoiled" some twenty or thirty ballots--out of more than two thousand votes cast. Over-voting, trying to use check marks or circles, things like that.

The no paper trail ones are the ones that are most prone to manipulation. Why they cannot make one that just uses a printer to print a summary of your ballot is a key clue as to how they want to manipulate the vote. Stick with the paper until someone caves and gets real.

Ever notice that all election rules lawsuits occur in battleground states. These states also have some of the laxest rules. NC is a good example. We have incredible early voting, and an overturned ID system. There are several reliable Democrat states with ID and no early voting. Apparently the downtrodden minorities there can manage to get to the polls on Election Day and find an ID! I guess their Minority groups are less incompetent and pathetic that those we have here in NC.

That is the problem with letting each state drive the bus, it always goes in 50 directions. I am for states rights, but there is a time and a place for consistency, to avoid cheating.

I'd be very careful with reporting from a fashion magazine site. I'm not saying it isn't true, but a lot of times they put an editorial spin on things that isn't at all representative of reality.
