I think there may have been an internal battle between the troops and the leadership, with Comey caving to Lorettas direction and probable threat to remove him and replace him with someone more "willing". Based on all the crap Holder did, Loretta didn't do, the Justice department is totally politicized and has proven over the last 8 years all that mattered was your manipulative value, color and donation status. We are doomed to this continuing and accelerating to restrictive laws and "regulations" that will completely install 1984.

If you believe in conspiracy theories, maybe the investigation was a set up to make Hillary look good, 2 days before the election. I wouldn't put it past them.

You'd have to have a lot of career FBI people who believe in what they do - put criminals behind bars - to go with that one. No one who is corrupt wants to expose their closet full of skeletons because enough people might just get mad. Why else all the obfuscation of the email in the first place?

No. Hillary didn't want the attention. She just wants to make money by selling her influence. Can't do that with lots of people watching you.

She is so arrogant, that it is not hard to imagine all the accusations of her criminal acts. She is guilty as sin, but that is not on todays agenda, hence the absolution for all crimes past and present. The Obama pardon will be next "for any and all high crimes and misdemeanors" before taking office. Watch....

I won't be surprised at all if Obama attempts to pardon Hillary, but there are a couple of problems from a technical perspective. The first is that the President can't pardon allegations - only convictions. Until a trial is actually held, there's nothing for Obama to act on. Same thing with commutations: you can't commute a sentence which hasn't been rendered. Perversely, Hillary might have been better off (legally) to have been brought to trial prior to the election. It might have destroyed her politically. Right now, because no actual trial (or even Grand Jury) convened, there is no double-jeopardy to protect her from an independent counsel (Ken Starr redux) etc.

Uh, Nixon? As far as I know, he never went to trial for Watergate and Ford specifically pardoned him.

            http://www.nytimes.com/learning/gener...

Washington, Sept. 8--President Ford granted former President Richard M. Nixon an unconditional pardon today for all Federal crimes that he "committed or may have committed or taken part in" while in office, an act Mr. Ford said was intended to spare Mr. Nixon and the nation further punishment in the Watergate scandals.

Mr. Nixon, in San Clemente, Calif., accepted the pardon, which exempts him from indictment and trial for, among other things, his role in the cover-up of the Watergate burglary. He issued a statement saying that he could now see he was "wrong in not acting more decisively and more forthrightly in dealing with Watergate."

This will be a repeat and will be held up against any objections because of precedent. Trust me, it is coming. It is the only way the Beast can assume the throne with no shadows over her.

While Ford did "pardon" Nixon, I don't think that it technically would have held up in court had it been challenged. Since it never was, we don't know. Procedurally, however, one can't pardon someone for a future event. Just like in the Nixon case, however, I doubt that the Republicans will attempt to impeach Clinton anyway. They don't have the intestinal fortitude for it.

Blarman, I understand you are talking about rules and regulations here, however, please note: The Obama administration has established a pattern of clear abrogation of the rules, laws and structure of our country to whatever they want it to be. To start, no one would want to pay for a case against it, as it has precedent and history, to finish, it would just go before one of the "correct" judges who would either throw it out, or find against them. Sorry to sound so negative, but I really, really believe we no longer control our country. All this crap is just show. The Beast will be elected, and if not, she will be elected. She will be pardoned. Shew will establish her kingdom. She may die a few months after she gets in, just to clear the way for Kaine. I find it interesting his last name is that of the biblical "first murderer". Maybe that will become his title when he assume the throne.

I have been accused (and there is merit) of being too idealistic. Of course I speak of a fair and impartial judicial system and you are right: there are serious doubts about such still existing - especially in the case of Hillary Clinton.

I guess we can hope that the People of United States finally get tired of it and revolt - replacing their corrupt representatives with honorable ones. But there I go again...

Apparently there is one in progress, everyone is amazed that Trump has apparently won, and now they are all pontificating on the fact "maybe the people are fed up with the corruption". Really? This is news?

Comey is a political hack. He has destroyed the reputation of the FBI, at least in my mind. I no longer respect it as an institution. Its just another political machine working for the establishment. When he let Hillary off, it was simply a political gift to Hillary. I will never accept it wasnt. Then when he reopened the investigation, he was simply trying to save himself politically. Closing the investigation now was simply him trying to save his job and reputation if Hillary gets presidency. The FBI is a joke now.

It is not so much about what he did say as it is about what he didn't say. The investigation is not and has not been closed nor is the better one on the Clinton Foundation. Face the facts folks, Lynch would not convene a grand jury and Obummer would just pardon her any way. These people are ruthless in every sense of the term.

Does it make you wonder if all those folks have ever considered the ramifications of the possibility of a decent percentage of citizens deciding the law does`nt apply to them as it seems to not apply to the "elite"?

My immediate thought was that he got an offer he "couldn't refuse". I pity these high-level people who are tasked with making the country operate under some set of standard laws. The one breaking those laws is not only going to be their boss, but has a very good track record of taking care of those who don't cooperate. Don't envy them for one minute.

I know what I am about to say will be unpopular but give me a min to explain my position.

I am happy that the FBI has chosen not to pursue charges at this time. By not lodging charges there is nothing for Obama to pardon. I am hoping that the FBI will just hold off until late January. Of course this hinges on Trump winning because if Hillary wins everything will go away.

I'll repeat the question I asked when the first statement was made to not pursue prosecution after spending and lengthy statement outlining a credible case to do so: "What do they have on Comey?"

Director Comey at least advanced transparency by showing us that the FBI is just another political corruption tool. He concluded Clinton could not be indicted because she lacked the intent for wrongdoing, just as he lacked the intent to indict her in the first place. An investigator never finds that which he willingly ignores.

Expect Comey puppets to be big seller this Xmas.

This man has just said goodbye to any credibility. He i a lapdog. Hillary is guilty of so many things, and tLynch pulls the chain, and she walks. Lynch needs to be disbarred as a traitor who obstructs justice. I lost respect for the FBI when they failed to check out Obama - his name, his multiple SS numbers, his true father, his history with cocaine and selling gay sex. How on earth did they let all that get past them - someone had a fix in even then. Hillary's husband sould be on a sex offender list for his trips to the orgy island with underage girls. What was Hillary doing there herself six times, maybe she should be on the list too.

He must have just saved the lives of his family. And of course Hillary probably promised to let him keep his job, which of course she will not honor. She will destroy him anyway she can. Our only hope is that some of the younger agents who feel their hands are tied behind their backs might contuinue to come out with the real facts. I would assume some might even resign and rather become mall cops instead of seeing the agency be destroyed like our congress has.
