Why is this relevant? There are a host of "journalistic" endeavors like Gawker, Star, National Enquirer, etc. which all arguably invade privacy in search of a story. They take no thought as to whether or not their "journalism" crosses boundaries into personal privacy or rights. I'm not sure whether or not this action will do anything about that or not, but it sends a strong message to these institutions that they should revisit their policies.
