Regardless of Who Wins the Election, Confidence in Washington DC Is ALREADY Shattered

This campaign is dragging whatever prestige is still associated with the Office of President into the mud. Few voters on either side bother to spend much time arguing the greatness of their candidate. When both Trump and Clinton carry more baggage than American Airlines, it’s easier to focus on their opponent’s shortcomings.

The victor in this epically polarized contest will garner only tepid support from a minority of Americans. He or she will be despised by most everyone else.

Hillary will NEVER be my president. I will at a minimum ignore her, and if I can, passively resist her every move. I just hope she doesnt get us into war with Russia

And Putin doesnt respect her or Obama. That is bad. We need to be respected at least by other countries, and Trump would do that

IF there was a god, AND he had a cell number or a webpage, I would contact him and ask for his help to elect Trump

Well, there is no entity paying attention in real time, (that's observable); BUT, there is a system created within existence that anyone with a mind and pure intent, can Ask and get a reply (incite) with quantum entangled wave exchanges...the only problem is you'd need 10% of the population with the exact same mind set and intention...I don't see that happening because many still believe it's mystical when it's more likely, quantum physical.
If it is, then we will likely learn and accept it too late to change squat.

plus there are many proposed 'gods" out there. I thought one time of designing a website to allow people to make their own religions, with a bible that resided in the ether, minions (bishops and such), and would take donations. I would give each custom religion a number or a name selected by the person starting the religion, and it could solicit members that believed in the tenets of that particular religion. Tax free of course since it would be a religion.

Your Church, Your Way, Right Now. That would be the slogan. Gone would be the need to stick with establishment religions that had only "some" of the beliefs that a person held.

Laughing ... that's all we need...multigods like the Greeks and Romans...didn't work out so well now did it.
Believe it or not...the OT,T, and NT was an evolution of behavior and the ascention into the mind over 3000 years and awakening, an awakening still explained and practiced by the bicameral brain and for a host of reasons and incapabilities still follows that paradigm...take away the bicameral meme and look and it begins to make sense...like I am fond of saying: "It's not mystical" "It's quantum Physical.
Many balk about moral rights and wrongs but without an understanding of the basics...all hell breaks loose...just like today and every other cycle in history.
Think of morality and ethics as a balance between 0 entropy and max entropy. Having that balance insures existence will persist.
Now bend over with your nose to the ground and fart in the face of the one behind you...cracks me up!

The less confidence in Washington DC, the better. Voters are beginning to look for alternatives to both corrupt parties and their candidates. Regardless of who wins in November, there is likely to be a huge political realignment afterwards. It's important that advocates of individual liberty be part of that realignment.

"advocates of individual liberty be part of that realignment." should be the Only one's involved...there is no other valid opinion.

Unfortunately, invalid opinions have plenty of political muscle. Assuming the two-party system continues, the best feasible outcome would be to have one party run by liberty advocates and the other party run by collectivists. At least there would be a clear distinction between the two. A true multi-party system would probably be an improvement also.

With all due respect, Mr. Fibonacci, which is much, and yes there are cycles...

But The Founders broke the up until then what Mises termed "militarist" government. Short list: Greece, Rome, Feudalism, the British Empire...

Thanks to not heeding the famous quote of Franklin(?): "...if you can keep it." We have cycles in DC.

A few tweeks (minor, not "living") to The Constitution as alluded to near the end of AS...most importantly "The Separation of Business and State", and the cycle would end and the stability of the early 1800's return.

        If we can keep it.

Nice presentation...I was referring to the cycle of generations, there is a book out on it, forget the name right now, but there is also a cycle showing these ups and downs in freedom as well, having well to do with the things you mentioned...symptoms of the times.

Western civilization (anti civilization now days) have been notorious for ignoring all the cycles...bad moves from government and science.

Once a lib even attracted to phony "Power to the people" socialism, me dino began to raise my tail over Jimmy Carter's Dimwitcrat Party during the 70s.
Listening to Reagan's speeches helped a then in my prime dino evolve back into the Constitution grounded conservative of a boyhood when we said the Pledge of Allegiance in the classroom.
Now? With exceptions such as Jeff Sessions, the appeasing and spineless GOP--some of its elite actually voting for Shillary as Rush predicted--has earned (what I believe is rationally thought out) my total contempt and disgust.
Washington DC has also earned my dino vote of total no confidence.

We need to fire 99% of government, vacate DC, make into a museum and put the remainder into plain jane buildings somewhere we can monitor them better. Everyone needs to learn that those that seek to represent the population are no different than the population and it will be a privilege to represent us for a short time and at No Time, will they Ever be Privileged in doing so.

"vacate DC, make into a museum"
After evacuation, make it into a live museum showing what happens to a city after a nuclear bomb explodes.

I might of thought the same but not just in the basements and libraries but with in the city itself is history that is just not worth losing...just the fact that we made it a museum would be historic itself.

OK, save the historical items prior to 1860. Most of the history since 1860 has been a premeditated set of lies that should be destroyed and replaced with the truth.

I think we should know about the progressive lies too, put them in an opposing category if you like but view and beware!'
I think we need to know ALL of history, the good and the bad so that we'll recognize the bad when it come around on the guitar again.

Yep, there's a big difference between something being a privilege than being one of the privileged.
Among those who have their representative status of We The People ass-backwards are RINOs who will actually vote for a jackass party fascist hag to protect their precious fiefdoms of power.

I just posted a thought on another thread, you might appreciate.
It seems that in Oregon, they mail in their ballots...taking this a bit farther I could see just how easily it would be for the dead to vote...but how could that happen, it's not like they come out of the grave and walk to a mail box. Then I saw the whole scenario in my head.
Isn't it convenient that Halloween be celebrated just days before we vote? I can just see millions of illegals dressed up as ghosts canvasing the grave yards for votes, filling out ballots for the dead and mailing them in.

Maybe we should change Halloween to:..wait...wait for it... ...The ballot of Ghosts.

I agree that any semblance of confidence has been totally eroded by the current crop of pols in Waste-ing-ton District of Crap. We the People have got to wake up and start demanding what has always been good about our country. The three branches are in total disarray.

I deliberately avoided a DC assignment my entire military career (20 years), but then spent the remainder of my professional life in that bureaucratic cesspool. My conclusion is that the rot goes all the way to the bottom, and just turning out the elected officials is like skimming the scum off the top of a septic tank. There needs to be some serious wholesale elimination of the bureaucrat maggots nests, and by that I mean terminating the existence of any cabinet agency not authorized by the Constitution. After that there needs to be elimination of government employee unions, with retention based strictly on merit.
