but I am not exactly a Libertarian (although I support liberty)

I don't require you to be a libertarian and I don't think the rest of us here do. Politics proceeds from the underlying philosophy and if you are an admirer of Ayn Rand there is a place for you here.

Hi Burt, welcome to the Gulch. Being a Libertarian isn't a requirement for being here. Do you consider yourself an Objectivist?
