    >>.all "Objectivish" sites have their downsides.

    So do ALL sites.

The problem with the sites you mentioned is that they have downsides in just those things where they ought to have upsides.

Good question. A BBS takes very little money, but a whole lot of time to run. Perhaps someone or ones among us here would make an offer to the owners.

I listed several Objectivist websites under Culture. Unfortunately, darren's snide summaries were only short of actual trolling: all "Objectivish" sites have their downsides.

On the upside, among them all, you probably can find at least one where the atmosphere suits you. My personal favorite is "Rebirth of Reason." Concerning "Objectivism Online" I got along well with its founder David Veksler and we are "friends" on LinkedIn. But if you read the guidelines I believe that they prohibit criticism of the ARI though not the Atlas Society. One of the newbies here who first read AS last year constantly refers to Ayn Rand as "Ayn." That would not be allowed on Betsy Speicher's "For Rand Fans" unless you actually were in the New York Collective. So, you have to take those kinds of factors in stride when you choose to associate.
