Harts problem with Roark is that Roark doesn't kneel and thank the heavens/God/grace or whatever else for what he has achieved in life and for the great man he has become. How dare he take credit for himself...he owes that credit to a higher power. bla bla bla. That's what I got out of this bunk anyway. (And I think Hart would like Dominique, or someone like her...anyone perhaps, to touch his tie and say words like "admire" and "submission". Poor sap.)

The more this guy talks, the more he proves Ayn Rand's point. How do you bring down a Howard Roark? By lifting up a Peter Keating. How do you bring down an Ayn Rand? By lifting up a David Bentley Hart.

By the way, TCE, I love your use of the word "vagueries." I initially read it as "vagaries," but I suppose that word applies, too.

A word to the wise: there are those on Goodreads who "discuss" Rand who have a deep hatred for anyone who speaks up for her. The kicker is that they smother your voice by piling on you rapid-fire until you realize that they just want to hear themselves talk, to blow smoke up their own arses, and to congratulate each other for making nonsensical points. "Discussion", as always the case with liberals, is the furthest thing from their minds. Yelp.com in their talk area is very much the same way. Vicious.
