Are you absolutely positive it doesn't exist? Just asking. I find the expression "karma" a shortcut to express just rewards. Never offended by its use by others.

saw a cartoon stapled to the wall of a bar on the
water at Jekyll Island, next to signed dollar bills and
articles of swimwear -- showing Vick in a courtroom
where the judge and jury were dogs. captions were
of an unmentionable sort. karma, poetic justice,
    social justice, whatever. -- j

Who knows. My daughter bought me the T shirt that says, "Atlas Shrugged, no longer fiction." The same could be in Michael Vicks future.

And I wanted to write that this was a story I could sink my teeth into. Yeah, maybe this is a hoax.
(Psst! Just had to write that anyway. Just had to).

Not wrath, just that "karma" has a mystical meaning, i.e., doesn't mean anything. It's sometimes used as vague manner of speaking about someone deserving what he got, but still has mystical implications of a causality that doesn't exist.

The Michael Vick story appears to be a hoax. He is deserving of scorn but not slander.

When the NFL hired him back I didn't watch a game for a long time. What a scumbag P.O.S.

Karma, indeed. As a dog lover, I love this story. If in fact this was a dog fighting lab and the other people bitten worked there -- GOOD! Vick should get interested in some other sports like going over Niagra in a barrel, or cordless bungi-jumping.

I definitely think there is "room for karma!" After all, what is karma but a poetic label for what is, essentially, cause and effect?

In an Ayn Rand world, is there room for karma? I think not, but I definitely want some feedback on this one. That is why I debated on whether I called it sweet justice or poetic justice.

I know of which you speak, I am over 50, things don't work as well when you are older. But life is exciting, starting first thing in the morning, you look around in the bed to see what dropped off or quit working during the night...You just hope it isn't something you use on a regular basis!

Well, I have to admit, not a thing. I followed the link to the story that was originally posted about, saw the article that I mention, got interrupted and lost track. When I got back and read the comments, I was thinking they were about the hoax jockey story.

When I realized what I had done, like many things in life, it was too late to take it back.

I apologize to all for my mistake.
