What Happened When New Zealand Got Rid of Government Subsidies for Farmers

Why would our farmers be any different, we all know it's a scam to produce only what the government "Thinks" you should.
Why should we not be producing the very best food in the world! Producing what "People" want.

Nah, that wasn't about a dental problem.
It was gonna be in a "don't quit smoking this way" funny Chantix commercial; but having quit smoking myself, I refused to inhale that big burning fire log..
So the Chantix people used rubber bullets to chase me off to the safety of my Jurassic Park paddock.
Tried to sue for pain and suffering. Judge threw it out of court because I'm extinct.

Did your salivation drip out all over the place?

The government has no right to spend money like that...leave it up to the individual. Although, they could make sure it doesn't go to criminals and those that watch better not have the last name clinton.

If enough people protect their computers and dumb phones we might still be able to connect through block chains...maybe.
We can hope for a miss or at least only effecting part of the earth.

Of course they will benefit with freedom...and yea, we did have to introduce free market principles to russia...unfortunately, the criminal element were the one's that caught on...there is no ethics in communist societies.
There are many Pre- literate cultures in the world. Culture and language (or lack there of) are a main driver of "Conscious" introspection.

Check our Julian Jaynes, Chad and you'll understand why half the world are still pagan bicameral barbarians.
Hell, just look at the demoncraps, progressives, hiltery...they do not represent any sort of humanity, consciousness nor moral conscience at all.

This article is correct. All of it
    Shit it hurt .
But our farners made it work .
The 1984 Labour then 1987 govt did a complete u-turn on its history, its union base and its recent electioneering
Never a friend of farmers it seemed to seek ti demolish them .
    What? No more subsidies?
But we were gutsy and made success.
Ok my uncle and aunt had to walk off the land but 18'/. Interest rates were part of that.
Today we bought a 'probiotic' cheese.
Cheese used to be cheddar, nothing else.
Problem: our best food is exported
Our great Producer! farmers are having to compete against subsidized food.
Try some nz food some time .
I am not begging you to - I am offering to trade fair value.

Although they are not at the same stages of conscious evolution is to assume they will not benefit by being free. We didn't teach Russia the free market system, they realized that we had evolved into the socialist market system and there is no difference between us except maybe some degree. What collectivists have learned is to let people think they are free by letting them choose whatever flavor of gasoline they want while demanding that all gasolines are the same. If you control the economy it doesn't matter what you call it, it is still collectivism (tyranny by any other name is still a tyranny).

Ending the subsidies would certainly drive most of the smallest, non-mechanized farmers from the field (pun intended) -- and indeed they shouldn't be there. I'm not surprised to hear that it will also give you and me more choices. Let it happen!

Speaking of power outages...within the next year we, (NASA scientist) expect a very powerful "X RAY" from a binary system interaction. Now, couple that with a shield that is down at least 25%...can you spell disaster? This X ray would be 100's of times stronger than the Carrington event should it even glance us as it goes by.

Now, doesn't that make digital money, (Cashless) attractive?...I think not...that's what's called...By By to your digital savings and money to survive and pay your bills with.

I keep seeing buy gold for the crash and SHTF survival techniques due to apocalyptic power outages in my conservative email.
By then it would do the youngens good to get their hands on Objectivist thinking along with unslanted objective news stories printed on physical paper.
That's the only way old dino can see that happening. Hope you're good with a hand crank.

Not all cultures are at the same stage of conscious evolution...western society is very different than the rest of the world.
Look at Russia...we had to teach them the Free Market...in many ways, they still don't completely get it.

I am thinking of what, more and more, will happen with the internet, especially if control is turned over to the devil before it turns into a pumpkin tonight.
So my idea would be starting on a community basis working out, but I do envision old fashion news stands...boston/nyc etc.
Also...reading something on physical paper would do the youngens a whole lot of good not to mention would likely not get instantly revised by progressives.
Physical news print would likely survive the zombie apocalypse too. Digital is not for ever...especially if hiltery is still around.

To assume that it wouldn't work anywhere it is tried is to assume that humans are different in some locations. Given the freedom to choose and the responsibility to go along with it (no subsidies or grants to gently get out) makes people more aware of the consequences of their choices and careful not to do something anti-rational because they know they will pay for it, not someone else.

It was thought that farmers would "walk away" if the subsidies ended.

From what I've seen, farmers don't do it to get rich and would most likely keep doing it, without subsidies. If I lost my good paying job, as a radio technician...I wouldn't stop being a technician. I'd simply go to work for someone else, because I've never solely been in it for the money. It's just what I'm good at and enjoy doing...like most farmers.

There's a lot of detail in Trump's approach that doesn't get much press. He's adopted Ben Carson's idea of a tax amnesty for money brought back to the U.S., provided it's invested in job creating ventures here in the U.S. There's over 2 trillion dollars that would return if such an amnesty is declared. Tariffs are a last resort in his plan, but as they say, everything's on the table.
