While I can appreciate Palin I just can't trust her as a leader of the conservative movement or the Tea Party in America. At first I bought-in to her talk. I even bought 3 copies of her book for each of the women in my family for Christmas a few years back. But then she started favoring non-Tea Party, less conservative candidates over Conservative Tea Party candidates AND endorsed John McCain. Sure, she still talks the talk now when its obvious. But I have to wonder just how genuine this woman is. She was, after all, chosen by John McCain as a running mate.

Christie, like McCain, like Rubio, like Trump, like Ryan....is just a RINO and nothing more. Palin? perhaps 1/2 RINO.

it is all political posturing. Accepting the Vp nomination was what propelled her to the national stage. I do not begrudge her for accepting the opportunity. What is interesting here, the RNC tries to ignore Paul, when they're not vilifying him. His votes are consistent with his rhetoric (not true of Ryan, others).

I do understand, however its this business as usual posturing/flexibility that has led us into the rocks and threatens everything this country was/was supposed to be. We need less posturing and more principal, people of steadfast conviction if we are pull out of this mess. Lip service by either side can no longer cut it.

If I have to vote now, Paul would be my choice.

Who ever runs better prepare a strong message against the Affordable Health Care Act, and NO doublespeak this time about replacing it with a better plan. Stay out of the race--Mitt Romney!

I will not vote for Christie, Bush, Rubio, Jindal etc. The jury is still out on others. I don't think Palin is running, she has more power doing what she does.
Actually, I'm not sure we even need to worry about who's running. I haven't decided if Dear Leader is going to back hilary or if he's going to stab her in the back and run Dear Leaderess in her place. He really likes flying around in AF1.

“If it doesn’t kill you it’ll make you stronger.” Sarah Palin has endured more unwarranted abuse than any politician I have been exposed to. She deserved credit for the rousing VP candidate speech she delivered on 9/08 but that yellow rat snake (aka msm) definitely put the squeeze on her. My sister often says “people tell you where they are coming from” I fully appreciated this quote watching Mrs. Palin being skewered and burned by that nicer, fairer, friendlier, not red or blue but one America group of hypocrites. When I would press any intellectual elite progressive to explain to little old blue collar me, what fault exactly Sarah Palin has that could be so egregious to deserve such ire, they have no answer. It was then I realized the power of yellow journalism and knew hope was lost. If there was still a flickering flame alive in me at that point it was doused watching John Daily poke fun at McCain wandering around at his second debate as if looking for his dog. My son had me watch the video, he was apologetic as it was damaging but hysterically funny; he was right, dark days indeed. She’s still standing! Always formidable, now armed with the experience of surviving the wrath of the yellow rat snake, Sarah Palin is someone whose instincts I trust; of course she’s going to side with Rand Paul that is to say the constitution.

If you are a Producer, you can read Ayn Rand's marginalia in Barry Goldwater's _The Conscience of a Conservative_. Then read her endorsement in _The Objectivist Newsletter_. You do not need to approve of everything a political candidate says, nor do they need to reflect your own views 100%. They do not need to be consistent. All of that would be nice, but not reasonable to expect in any political process, and certainly not today.

That said, here in Texas, terminating a pregnancy is now more legally difficult. Gov Rick Perry campaigned the voters on behalf of a $3 BILLION bond issue to establish a cancer research fund. CPRIT has been investigated and suspended and now relaunched as if reforms matter - the money went to friends, colleagues, insiders and actual FAMILY members. Sure, they were all doctors at research institutions. At least no one bought a yacht. But it was typical cronyism in the name of "creating jobs" and "supporting business" and "investing in research."

Politically, Republican Texas is no different than Democratic Massachusetts.

CULTURALLY, a difference exists. Ayn Rand said time and again that politics is a consequence of philosophy. If you want to bring about a free society, address the philosophical issues.

Look at how Paul Ryan coddled and fondled the Atlas Society, showing up for dinner, talking about how his staff reads Atlas Shrugged. When push came to shove, and he got the nomination for Veep he ran back to this Catholic label and denounced Ayn Rand's "atheistic philosophy."

Sarah Palin will take your money and your votes without accepting a single philosophical premise. Vote for her if you want. Send her money if you want. But do not tell me that she is my friend.
