Harvard Prof on the Consequence of Relativism

I think the article frames this argument well.

"If there’s no such thing as objective truth, then learning is impossible. School becomes merely the place where one group’s ideology and opinions are planted into the minds of students. Education becomes indoctrination."

My Understanding is that there is "Truth" in the physical laws of existence; however, if we are learning objectively, rationally and honestly, our understanding of these truths will evolve according to what we have objectively observed.

[note: I make the distinction that Truth never changes...what is true is always true.] We are not talking about Facts, Honestly or "what did you do?", connotations of truth.
Perhaps this is where the argument lays.

So the question is: Is there objective universal truth? or is truth relative?
