Rule Number One. Never Look at history in the context of your present time until..

Rule Number Two - You have looked at it in the context of it's own time.

Best advice I ever received and the hardest to accomplish.

Second best advice. Never take responsibility nor offer an apology for something that occured before you were born - as a minimum.

Havinig attained life be first responsible for preparing yourself for the day you assume responsibiity for your own actions or lack of...

The time before that day is for learning the time after is for assuming the responsibilities of adulthood.

The number of years used to attain that status is not the same for everyone, For some it might take 16 years for others sixty.

My first and best History teacher taught me and the rest of the class that and prepared us for all that follows.

So? Have you attained adulthood yet? Perhaps you might share some experiences such as the two I just presented.

Even such matters as how do you put yourself in the context of the times of someone long dead? Followed by how do you apply the lessons learned making the transistion from that day to this and from this day to one you will never see.

Judge not? Why not? Start with yourself. For if not, History will surely judge you. In the context of some future time.

Rule Three is strive to be someone worthy of being studied as history and emulated. For that we have a philosophy and a brain.

Well prepared wouldn't you say?
