I gather Messrs. Casey and Giambruno really belive the Zimbabwean government, of all things, will scrap the total communism of Mugabe. Well, I remember when Mugabe came to power, ousted all his opposition, and went full-bore Marxist. I never believed any revolutionary would ever reform. Because, you see, I happen to think Communist and Marxist revolutionaries act out of spite, not out of any genuine concern for justice. And the trouble is, spite is personal.

And Mugabe is still alive, and still in command. Are those guys sure about reform? From him?

I guess it's always worth a shot to try and awaken the unconscious, awaken the bicameral brain. Although I agree Zimbabwe would not be the place I would start.

They--that is, Doug Casey and Nick Giambruno--seem to think maybe--just maybe--the Zimbabwean authorities realize their mistake and are laying aside revolution for something that will "just work."

Will Durant said this: communism gave people security from want, but could never lift them out of poverty. Capitalism brought wealth but did away with security. Well, the problem is, communism ends up creaking and crashing of its own weight--for you cannot run communism effectively and incorruptibly.

Having more than a little eperience with that counxtry since it was Rhodesia You will find there the end game of what you ran from.

Wishing upon a star or the land over the rainbow you miss the whole point of the Gulch. A place to go and rest and refit and plan for the next year in the battle, Not a hidey hole.

You want the gulch? start with defeating autocratic socialism.

First trip evaluated the Rhodesians ability to hold the country in the face of the entire British Empire and the USA. At the time USA was the second largest practitioner of apartheid and today is the first - world wide) Zimbabwe followed the usual route of one vote one time, the dictator stealilng all the money and worse about inter tribal warfare. Equally worst was the announcement the Zimbabs military had the least incidence of AIDS in the country at just under 50% and the second visit it was a rat hole. Not the place I would recommend with the same guy in charge. But very excellent country were it not for the government

Th'at's been about fifteen years. So roll dice take chances but the odds are worse than.a Trump roll and more equal to expectation of Hillary turning into a human being.
