Corrupt and Deranged, by Robert Gore

Standards of honesty and integrity crumble in societies based on theft and fraud, replaced by a new standard. Coercive, redistributive “altruism” excuses all manner of corruption among the powerful and the servitude of those who either choose or are forced to produce. Bread, circuses, and moral degeneracy entertain and placate the masses. The bizarre becomes commonplace, but the populace grows sated with each new manifestation, always more “transgressive” (of standards that no longer exist) than the previous one, in progressively shorter spans of time.

Anything and everything goes. Only one standard remains that rouses virtually everyone—rich and poor, powerful and powerless—to righteous indignation: the more pervasive the corrupt derangement, the less acceptable it is to talk about it. In our own time, the obvious conclusion that the warfare and welfare states are morally and fiscally bankrupt, doomed to collapse, remains confined to the fringe.

I would hope that if Trump wins that the govt will govt becomes smaller. Unnecessary govt departments are liquidated. But, like you stated it might not happen.
Like I have stated here numerous times is the inevitability of a Civil War.

They looked too silly to watch anyway.
That Kung Fu TV show was the brainchild of Bruce Lee. Hollywood fat cats thought Caucasian David Carradine should be the better star.

There's a black and white movie in which Caucasian movie stars play Chinese peasants.
    Its been on Turner Classics.
I've watched it for maybe five minutes a couple of times while thinking how silly for Caucasian the actors look.
I do not recall the title.
The Charlie Chan actor pulled off looking Chinese way, way better.

A corrupt system is an allure only for the corrupt. The more corrupt the more immoral that are attracted. Estienne la Boetie was correct, the nature of the human is race is to desire slavery, to either be the slave or the master doesn't seem to matter. The human race may die out before it prefers liberty and the right to fail and learn from it. I sometimes think for the race to survive the coming total enslavement it would require some catastrophe destroying the ability of the slavers to function, with only small pockets of surviving civilization reduced to the irreducible, produce or die. Yellowstone is a remote threat but perhaps the only hope we have as freemen. The humans prefer 'free' bread and the circus and will kill any who threaten that. I don't think Trump is any different, he just knows how to appeal to the 'conservative' masses who also prefer socialism, just their brand.

You won't see Charlie or #1 son anymore. He's not PC enough and might offend an Asian person.

Old Charlie was on the radio and in the movies played by a non-Asian named Sidney Toler.

I suddenly recall his "Number One Son."
This is back when detective/mystery TV shows seemed to often end with a finally revealed felon crying out, "Yes, I'm the murderer and now you're all gonna get it." Yet as he pulls his weapon, a shot is heard and he drops dead. Another character of the play is then shown in a doorway holding a smoking gun waist high that he did not need to aim.

For a concealed weapon I use the S&W 38 snub. Due to neuropathic hands a gun slide is difficult, so I use a revolver. Or as Charlie Chan used to say, a rewalowar.

Some, but weirdly enough, the idea for a novel grabbed me and wouldn't let go. It's a short, very black, political satire, Prime Deceit, and it will be out next month, just in time for the election. Once I'm done with that, I'll get back to the sequel in earnest.

    You're most welcome!

I allow myself one adult beverage a day. Usually it's a Jack or a Guinness. My wife and I always take some time towards late afternoon or early evening before supper to stop what we are doing and just have a nice moment together and have that one drink. Been doing that for decades and it's the best part of the day. Oh, she had the Jack waiting for me before I even got in the house!

Any progress on the sequel to the "Golden Pinnacle"?

I now have two pocket pistols. A Sig 9mm is slightly bigger.
Bigger yet for twice as long is a 9mm in my glove compartment.
A .357 is hidden in my living room.
A pump 12-guage is beside my bed.
I should have a complete modified 9mm carbine very soon that looks almost like an AR-15.
Maybe I have enough guns. Maybe.

It's extremely accurate for a little pistol and is comfortable at least for me to hold in a two-handed grip.
Someone in a YouTube video recommended a maximum range of of 7 yards.
At almost twice that range, I shot a small electronic object off the top of a junked TV I first warmed up shooting at--but I did it all with the first clip ever loaded into the gun!
    t should shoot straight, It's a Beretta!
Mine looks like #3 on the top row. Has the barrel popped open~

Well done and well said Robert.

But I fear that too many have grown up with these conditions, only concentrating their attention on wanting 'their team' to win, defending and excusing the 'stars' and players of that team as lesser evils---not be sane, rational, and honest. Yea Team
