The hallmark of progressive politics is the "Trojan horse". Consider the capture of 17% of the GNP cloaked in the wedding dress of "Healthcare". That wasn't about your health, it was about cashflow. TPP is about regulatory control. It is the progressive's heavy handed approach to A. Smith's theory of equilibrium, only this hand isn't invisible.

Obamacare isn't socialist. It is fascist.
Under socialism the government openly and unabashedly owns the means of production. Under fascism it only exercises control over the "private entities" which are the means of production. Now we can quibble about whether you truly own something if you don't have control over it, but from a mechanistic point of view it is an important distinction between fascism and socialism.

Despite the popular misconception, fascism has little or nothing to do with racism. The nazis were socialists, not fascists. Nationalistic and racist, but socialists nonetheless.

The ACA doesn't give ownership of the medical or health field to the government, but it gives it control over it. That makes it farther into fascism than into socialism. Contrast this with "public schools" which are indeed owned by the government with putative control by the people. That is socialist.

Fascist is still a label the looters don't like. Claim obamacare is socialist and its supporters don't bat an eyelash. They might even be proud of it. Point out it is fascist and they flip their gourd on you.

Up until now. old Dino thought fascism was a form of socialism.
Do believe I was taught that in school and that's been reinforced by conservative radio talk show hosts. .
Actually, I don't care who is right.
I'd rather call progressives fascist anyway.
          So thanks. I'll do that.

see,..these idiots seek to do this backasswards by holding value creating societies down but not rising up worthless pagan bicameral societies.

The worst part about TPP is that it suborns sovereignty. It creates an extra-legal body with the power to create policy for its member nations - similar to the EU.

Yep, look how that is working for AAPL and Ireland. Apple and Ireland had a working arrangement. Apple was paying the taxes to Ireland, bringing in "living wage" (I hate that liberal phrase) jobs. Now the EU says "No Ireland, you do not have the right to regulate your own tax structure." All of the sudden Brexit makes a lot more sense. When you surrender your sovereignty to a group of unelected and unaccountable folks with an agenda you are just asking to become a subject rather than a citizen.

Progressives never met a regulation that they didn't like. Just as Obamacare is devised to create a single payer system so is TPP and other regulatory projects devised to put businesses out of business, especially start-ups. When businesses are regulated out of business, it gives the government the opportunity to take that business over. It makes the government seem beneficial and provides another step toward collectivism.

G.W. Bush was for TPP and his family for globalism. Did you know there was even a plan he had to put us in camps? Obama does not care, nor does Hillary, about the state of foreign workers. They care about their place and continued millions of dollars coming in, in a global society. Obama is willing to be anyone's puppet for a pat on the head and some pocket change, Hillary is more expensive. Nothing done by government, over-regulated by even a global government, will be as good for the people as a free society. I cringe when they trow around intellectual property rights. Bill Clinton opened up patents and stole those years ago. Now O says he wants to protect them, right! They don't even plant to protect property ownership, with plans to have government own all property. I believe Cruz's wife supported TPP.
