They try so hard to convince everyone "SHE'S WRONG!" that they don't even realize they actually agree with her.

Seeing Rand so misunderstood, mis-categorized, and all around misrepresented is just painful. The worst is when they go so far as to attribute ideas to Rand that are actually antithetical just so they can reinforce their arguments against her. They try so hard to convince everyone "SHE'S WRONG!" that they don't even realize they actually agree with her.

"... it seems Rand means readers to conclude that threats and violence are permissible against people who don’t share her vision of economic policy."

I was going to try to write something pithy, intelligent and scathing.

Unfortunately, all that comes to mind is WOW. YECCCHHH.
    Get it away from me.
    EEEEEUUUU!!
Now where did I leave my 10mil magnum ammo? But what if it splashes on me, and I get infected, and the Producers have to draw lots to see who'll put me down?
    Oh, wow.

What book did this person read? How did she/he/it get the message this was a book for the 1%? “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” ? Being rich has NOTHING to do with it....too bad they missed the entire point. Did they skip over the bum on the train? Irresponsible writing from an irresponsible reader with an obvious ill agenda. Wow.

This stuff used to deeply disturb me too, that people would be so unwilling to even properly investigate what they're criticizing, even if at least for their own integrity's sake.

To this day, I have yet to read criticism of Rand or Atlas without some glaring flaw in their understanding of her message.

Now though, I just laugh it off. Suffering is unimportant, right? They will destroy themselves, in their 'soul', by refusing to investigate her ideas adequately.
