She will steal it, plain and simple.

"Shouldn't it be a felony for a politician to lie to get elected..."

It would be in my book.

One only has to look at the sentences given to those found guilty to discern how little voter fraud matters to the state.
-one year of probation and a $500 fine.
-a previously convicted felon was sentenced to a suspended five-year prison term and two years of probation
-13 counts of voter fraud, making him the worst duplicate voter in state history - suspended three-year prison sentence, five years’ probation, 300 hours of community service, and a $5,000 fine.

Should this be a serious crime or not?

Politicians and their sheeple are rarely if ever punished for their lies to the people who are supposed to be sovereign over government.
Its a felony to lie to a federal agent.
Shouldn't it be a felony for a politician to lie to get elected or to hide her unethical, sometimes traitorous acts after election (or appointment)? Shouldn't part of that punishment be to disqualify them from public office and from involvement in any way from government affairs for life including but not limited to loss of the right to vote?
