I will start with integrity on the list of 7. There are other obvious qualities but this is one sorely lacking in today's elected lot. Another mandatory aspect of said integrity would be to obey and be true to the oath of office. To uphold the constitution and promote Liberty and justice for all.

    Agreed.

With his shortcomings I preferred Cruz. I followed him for quite some time, watching and listening for him to be disingenuous, he never was. Shame.

They would not likely resonate with the people whom adore the "cultural icons" of today. First of all the public education system herds the masses to a leftist collectivist philosophy. History taught of our country and its constitutional republican government is woeful.
Dept of Education's agenda is to dumb down the students. The media manipulates with selective
Examination of issues. The false two party system
is rigged. The courts are stacked with partisan judges. The military brass are reaching for the gold stars. State and local govts are addicted to fed funds and act like crack whores.

Would any of the qualies listed here resonate with the majority of voters or would they be more in tune with the recommendation of eminem or 50 Cent while viewing MTV? That is the quality necessary to be TV President but none such would be found in a gathering like this.

Greetings, MichaelAarethun. I would be honored to have a president who espoused the traits that you with careful consideration spelled out.
With much respect sir, I thank you for your comment.

An ability to study the Constitution thoroughly and make such corrections as might be needed but beef up areas that need it. Those areas where the forefathers did the best they could to get it done and ratified then left us the mechanisms to make further refinements. Most of which since then have not been all that helpful and some down right against the principle that citizens CAN govern themselves

For one government is the servant of the ciizens and are temporary employees for the most part.

The citizens are the one and only source of power. having both all natural and other rights and the concurrent responsibilities and flat out state that.

Delegates sent to the federal government to represent the people of each State are employees of the State. Conduct in the Congress is governed by the congress but conduct outside the limits of Congressional power resides solely with the States and other than President and Vice President a State may recall them at any time.

I applied just those key starting points and the rest just fall into place. Those lists have been added all ready.

Then i would look at an extra level of protection. Not just letting it be 9th and 10th but flat out stating any right or power not specifically granted in detail is reserved to the people. Those usurping powers not specifically granted in any fashion will be tried under the laws governing High Crimes.

I would next do as suggested and add property rights starting with an new Declaration and make property taxes illegal for citizens and the current type of titles into real titles of ownership and clearly state the rights of property owners and other citizens as regards use of property be it 10,000 acres or my blue jeans.

Deny the government the right to go in debt except in two instances. War or unforeseen natural disasters and in those two cases the debt must be the first item on the next years budget and must be paid by funds or by cutting expenses elsewhere.

Income taxes of any form abolished. Consumption tax a form of tariff limited to the end user only. And cannot coexist with income tax during a phase in phase out.

Government wants more money the answer is to grow the economy or shelve the project.

You can see where I'm going with this. Not just enough to say a trustworthy, loyal, helpful, thrift frendly, brave and courteous and the rest of a Boy Scout oath. I'd be looking at who could carry out the seven most vital changes in the structure and culture of the country to provide a social contract worth my consent and let the States decide and decide how to operate with no interference from the others and allowing free travel and movement and trade to the other State citizens.

Follow that with this No right may be granted no matter what the basis if it interferes with or takes away or away from an existing right or rights. That's some of the ideas for seven starting point changes and freedom to vote and be repesented by a delegate and party of choice is another. No one party pretendin to be two. no bi partisanship or cross partisanship

Supreme Court. To monitor laws in the making and advise the President and President of the Senate and Speaker of the house when they are heading for a judiucial veto . And for damn sure no branch of government which can do all the jobs of the three branches. implement laws, enforce laws and adjudicate laws or any form of regulaton which themselves must always be approcved by Congress not a bureaucracy. Congress itself or the citizens may over rule the Supreme Court even if it takes a national referendum.

That's enough? except nowhere may any sexism, racism, or bigotry be employed unless it's a law in one of the States in which case it cannont involve interstate travel or commerce.

Thats too many so it needs your seven people with seven traits. no matter how good they must have guidance from the citizens.

    cheers

    MA
    .
and get rid of the GD Draft.

I appreciate the sentiment. I think there are many here in the Gulch who could do a much better job than either of the two surviving candidates, but I don't think any of us want the job. ;)

    You mean Pokemon Go?

Yeah, several of my nephews and nieces play it. Talk about a distraction from reality...

Neither do I, unfortunately. The last President who even came close to this was Reagan, and before him Calvin Coolidge.

Thanks Blarman , I would certainly get behind and support a candidate with those qualities! I don't see the current candidates meeting that criteria.

He/she must be committed to the truth. Lies and deception (from either themselves or their underlings) should be anathema to them.
    2. He/she must take responsibility for his/her own actions and the actions of those over whom they assume responsibility.
    3. He/she must live by the same laws with which he/she governs.
    4. He/she must be willing to give the free market every opportunity to succeed before proposing a government solution.
    5. He/she must be willing to look for root causes for problems - not merely symptoms.
    6. He/she must respect the individual citizen's right to choose their own path, own and manage their own property, and retain the fruits of their own labors.
    7. He/she must encourage everyone in the world to look to this nation as a beacon and example of what could make the entire world a better place.

You back at ya. Me? Upon entering the Oval Office, I'd likely fly into a dino rage and rip it to pieces due to all the idiots who used it after Ronald Reagan left.

The Sunday night Lies And Legends show on the Fox News Channel recently revealed that George Washington only wanted to retire after his leadership helped to win the Revolutionary War.
He did not ask to be nominated president and resisted those who wanted him to rule as a king.
But how do you find another George Washington in the 21st Century?
Doubt he's walking into traffic playing that Pokemon game.

Hi Zen, Anyone who Wants to rule the masses,
Has a personality flaw and an arrogance that is nauseating. It would be ideal a leader would be asked and be convinced to be .a candidate not one who buys and sells favors. So on the list would be
    '
    1. a reasoning objectivist

    2. A capitalist

    3. Recruited

    4. Person of integrity

    5.
