It is amazing that American Liberty Report is shocked that this administration has lied, more than once when in fact that is just about all it does.

What I would like to know is where does Obama get the authority to just hand over that kind of money to a bunch of terrorists who are our enemies? Where was Congress on this? I was of the understanding that they control the purse strings and therefore are the final authority. I had also understood that the policy of our government was not to deal with terrorists in any way.

IIRC early in US history there was no standing army or navy to act "in US interests." Merchant freighters had to protect themselves and protection payments to pirates were done frequently This is remarkably similar to the protection payments withheld from paychecks of workers and paid in fear of government by producers in today's USA to support looting pirates of the Dark Center.
