Texas state officials using the word "war".
Colorado county officials seriously discussing state secession.

We are living in "interesting times".

Isn't that an Irish curse? 'May you live in interesting times."

Legend gives the Chinese credit for this quote, but I can't find any actual proof of this being true.

Robert Kennedy once said in a speech:
"There is a Chinese curse which says 'May he live in interesting times.' Like it or not we live in interesting times. They are times of danger and uncertainty; but they are also more open to the creative energy of men than any other time in history."

He was apparently wrong about the curse...but since the Kennedy's are Irish Catholic, you may be close to the truth!

    From your link:
    "Update: Sen. Ted Cruz reacts:

Attorney General Holder’s recent announcement is just the latest example of his politicization of the Department of Justice. Holder’s refusal to accept the judgment of the U.S. Supreme Court regarding preclearance continues the Department’s longstanding pattern of refusing to follow the law.

Likewise, Holder continues to attack voter ID laws, even though the Supreme Court has concluded that voter ID laws are supported by multiple interests that are “unquestionably relevant to the State’s interest in protecting the integrity and reliability of the electoral process.”

State's rights taking a 'last stand'.

    Remember the Alamo!

We need to be more tolerant of the AG.. How could their constituents vote multiple times if they are required to show ID?

That could be why some are asking for on-line voting in the future?

Ya think? It would be the same as granting permission to commit voter fraud. Absentee ballots offer the same option for those who cannot appear at their voting station. On line voting would be for those with no address but who own computers. Something's wrong with that picture. This seems to be a transparent ploy for poverty and minority votes. After all, this administration did promise transparancy.

On-line voting would belong to the hackers...and we know which party has the best of those!

To be really fair, we need to go all the way back to handwritten ballots, and an indelible ink mark on the back of the hand, like they did in Iraq.

We may not get the results before all the states are done voting, but we might feel a little better about the fairness of the results.
