Well, this is interesting.

So, either Tingles

A) Has seen the blatant lawlessness of this administration, one that he's been disgustingly in the tank for, and is trying to distance himself from it.

B) Believes the Cantor defeat is a sneak preview to a November blockbuster against this administration, one that he's been disgustingly in the tank for, and is trying to distance himself from it.

C) A & B

D) Believes the Cantor defeat was enabled by blow back from institutional mistreatment of the Tea Party and wants to "defang" them with insincere kindness.

Your thoughts are welcome.

Notice though, Tingles admits that the establishment looks down their nose at us.

They are also most artful in stealing money while making you believe that you gave it to them by free choice.

Actually the Government is good at exactly 3 things:

    1. Wasting Money

    2. Wasting Times

    3. Wasting Lives

I suppose you could technically sum that up to 1 thing they are superb at.....Wasting

I would think that sooner or later MSNBC and a few others will have to make some real business decisions. Can a media like that make a living without any viewers? I used to watch them at least 10 minutes a day just to see what's going on over there. Now I don't even flick past them for fear of giving anyone the idea that someone might be watching. I guess my viewing habits are my interpretation of free enterprise. If no one watches they will eventually just shut down.

Them too... they talk about smaller government but are typically only interested in their version of bigger government.

Yes, he's a second hander... he's not all that anymore to his audience so he's trying something new. He's gross.

Somebody needs (with access) needs to pose that question ("What about calling us teabaggers? Is that now forbidden?") to Chrissy!

Maybe the "mainstream Republicans" or whoever Boehner + Cantor and their bunch call themselves? I feel the derision from both sides of that aisle.

Does this mean the Tea Party won't be called "tea baggers" anymore? MSNBC talking heads were throwing that (then) obscure West Coast sexually descriptive term around a mile a minute when the movement emerged on the heels of Obama's first maniac stimulus package. No class Rachael Maddow really dug using that.

No one who has paid any attention to his rants can observe Matthews as being anything but despicable. It would be unwise (a polite way of saying stupid) to credit him with anything positive. It's like the bully discovering that the kid he used to bully has worked out, become muscular and is now a threat. Though he has no legal power he still spews garbage that shores up the beliefs of those with unthinking or immoral agendas.

maybe he is looking for a larger audience so he says things that many have already known because his audience has been shrinking.

Who has looked down their noses at the Tea Party more than Mr. Mathews and his "network"?

"It wasn't communism people opposed but the corruption of it". I think many opposed any type of communism. Mathews is an idiot. He said he is as "American as any liberal". He is more so. Liberal progressives want to tear down everything this country stands for. Did I mention Mathews is an idiot.

One may properly surmise that this time it isn't the tingle running up his leg that motivates this introspection and cautionary tone, but more likely what's running down his leg ...

Here's his motive: "We can no longer dismiss this crew as a fringe element. They are a clear and present danger, and we must meet them head-on!"

    Bring it on.

    "What is government good at?"

Nothing. It is essential for only a very few things.
