Dems are registering as Repubs for the primary to vote for the most vulnerable candidate in the governors race which they see as Tom Tancredo.
one can change their party affiliation about a month before and election. see
    https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/electio...

The looters are running the state but I don't think they can throw the primary. I live in conservative Elbert County, and our liberal democrats go to great lengths to use their votes to screw with the state outcomes in primarys and go through histrionics to sound like they control the planet. I don't know how effective a tactic it will be, now that the Dem legislature just added a tax to 875,000 Coloradans to pay for the uninsured health care exchange costs. The Colorado citizens are getting pissed, even some of the liberal ones outside of Denver and Boulder that actually own something.
WRT to the Utah and Kansas comment, Governor Hikenlooper straddles any mildly controversial issue with such broad statements of firm resolution on both sides of an issue that no one can figure out if he is for something or against it, then he finds a way to do neither, like the reprieve (delay) of Nathan Dunlap's execution while he is governor. He didn't execute the death warrant and he didn't commute it, he just postponed it for as long as he is the Gov. Which hopefully isn't for much longer.
Oh, and ball should have been plural in my previous post.
    Cheers.

Me thinketh they protest too much. I still feel this race was purposely sabotaged. Brat seems like an interesting guy; however... did you see how quickly the conversation turned to immigration? Watch how that debate will be heated up over the next few months. It’s the only corner the dems have left to run to that they can propagandize their way out of.

I wouldn't give BHO the respect of calling him a professor. That would be degrading all others in the post secondary teaching profession (even those that deserve to be degraded - and there are quite a few of those).

I'm curious - who are your examples of professors? I can't for the life of me think of one. A few doc's, too many lawyers, but no prof's.

KH, The word on the street is that the Dems are going to vote in the Colorado state primary on the 24th, to elect the weakest and/or most repugnant Republican candidate to the conservative base to try and drive them away from the ballot box in November. The biggest prize is obviously the Governor's race. The state senate is the next. The Dems hold a 1 seat majority. Our narcissistic Colorado governor has straddled so many fences during his term that he has one foot in Utah and the other in Kansas. His gun grab and reprieve for cold blooded murderer Nathan Dunlap will hopefully result with his ball dangling from that fence over his bar in LoDo (lower Denver) when he goes back to making beer and serving food to people going to a Rockies game.
    Cheers.

Woodrow Wilson. The worst president of the 20th century.
BHO. The worst president of the 21st century, and it is only 14.449% complete.
    Cheers

Though, history shows professors and lawyers in high offices tend to get a little ego-manic.

Cantor's arrogance bit him in the arse. May this apparent surprise result infect the rest of the rino incumbents this election season.
My mouth to God's ear, I pray.

double BS.... you conflate "immigrants" with "illegal alien invaders".
Run by immigrants? You're implying that they are entrepreneurs who started their own businesses (how, if they're in the country illegally?) When you see someone behind the counter who can't speak English, but speaks fluent Spanish, odds are he's an illegal hired to circumvent regulation.

You apparently knew the Mexicans who stayed in Mexico. I'm not saying that people of Mexican descent are the dregs; I'm saying the ones who sneak across the border here are. I haven't been to Mexico; I haven't met the Mexicans who stay there and try to survive amidst the corruption; I've just met lots and lots of the dregs who sneak into my country and try to turn it into theirs.

I'm going to call BS on you. Look around at the inner cities. Most of the small businesses are run by immigrants. The gas stations, the deli's, the corner marts, etc. And many of the lawn care, catering, hotel cleaning staff are immigrants.

Yes, there are some who come under the allure of "free benefits." But having lived in Mexico for some time in the mid-90's, I'd say that most of the Mexicans who I came into contact with were desirous of the opportunity not of the hand-out. They knew that in America, they could save up some money and not have the gov't inflate the value to nothing in just a few months (hmmm, seems we've lost that), that they could start a business without having oppressive regulations and needing to bribe the officials and regulators to gain approval (hmmm, seems we've lost that as well), and that you can speak out against your government without fear of retribution (hmmm, seems we've lost that as well - why the hell would they want to come here, now, anyway?).

I like the 'trebuchet' . Could we have a reality TV show of the launches and flight. Mexico could hove their's for the landings and broadcast in Mexican for their Latino channels that many here watch on their cable. We could even vote on the most acrobatic or dramatic or technical. It might even be worth awarding metals.

Hooraahh!! But let's not call it the 'war against', that gives DHS too many guns and ammo justifications and 100 mile border area of No Constitution. Let's try 'conundrum' or 'plague' of illegal immigration.

As an added thought, imagine the effect of a drastic reduction of the welfare state to that of a limited, demonstrated and investigated needs based aid system on our lack of emigration. Maybe we could even afford to pay for the boat trip or maybe even convert some legislator's miles award cards.

In fact that would be a mighty recognition of the travails of many if not most of the settlers of this continent and country. They couldn't make a living in Northern Europe, then Southern Europe, then Eastern Europe and so on, and they came here, many on boats provided by their home countries.

    I call bs, again.

America, *until recent decades* has been a beacon for those looking to *build* a better life.

The illegals that have been flooding the country for decades are coming here for the riches they feel they are entitled to, and lie, cheat and steal to get them.

Having worked around illegals for close to 20 years, I know they come here looking to be dependents, they're not "turned". It's the social programs that attract them.

America has always been a beacon for those looking to have a better life. It's not merely the social benefits (unlike much of Europe). That said, once they arrive, they are quickly ushered into said social programs and turned into dependents. I don't believe that most migrated seeking such, but once here, the allure and ease of the dependence seduces them into it.

Equal to the welfare state is regulation; part of the draw for the dregs of these societies is their desirability as ways around government regulation.

An example I've given before: a construction contractor will hire a "legalized" alien invader, pay him the going rate for a job class, deduct taxes, social security, etc, all perfectly above-board...

And this "employee" will bring five illegal alien buddies to work off the books, paid by him, out of his wages sharing expenses and living conditions that the "poor" natives of the U.S. would find unacceptable.

That's just one, blatant, example of employers circumventing the regulations in order to compete on price (may you smoke a turd in purgatory forever, Jimmy Carter, for promoting cost culturally dominant over quality)

And, let me be clear; I don't give a crap about eliminating the welfare state where illegal alien invaders are concerned. I want death by torture for the employers who hire them, and I want the invaders themselves thrown bodily back across the border by trebuchet.
Eliminating the welfare state is a solution for native-born parasites.
