I found this one fascinating because vegans always just irritate me. Turns out, it appears that my irritation wasn't unjustified. I'll go eat that hamburger now...

Interesting read, thanks. I know some vegans (many here in nutty California). They are often an interesting genre... My preferred diet is fish and fruits/vegetables. I pound down the occasional big burger, though...with an IPA....oh yeah...

Interesting article...veganism is like a religion where as vegitarianism encludes some meats including fish.

Aside from the land use article which I got a lot out of, what people do not yet know is that we each are so very different, we haven't evolved so much as to deny our blood type ancestors. Our individual guts still opperate the same as they did 100's of thousand of years ago. Each blood type requires different flora for digestion and different food combinations for each as well. see: right4yourtype.com . I recomend reading: Live Right 4 your type. Over 20 million happy followers of this body of work.

Beyond that, what wasn't mentioned is that Farm animals revitalize the soils and take part in pest removals as well; Read: The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan.
