My mom lives up in the Minn Iron Range and I spent some time there. Never swam in Lake S, but did spend time in the St. Louis river, which was quite chilly even in late july/august.

Hello Robbie,
Being a Mi. native, I of course heard about this story also. Have you ever gone swimming in Lake Superior? Brrrrr! Even in the warmest years it will freeze your... off! This just doesn't fit the global warming picture does it? They can't say it isn't in the northern hemisphere either...
