    Without massive intervention, or waiting 50 years, there are two, and only two, viable options,
    1. ISIS/ISIL and the fanatics associated with the Sunni brand of Islam,
    2. Hezbollah and the Iran Shia back fanatics.
    'Same difference' as we say here.

    There are two decisions available,
    full scale intervention as WW2, occupation and a new form of government, yes it can work, or, hands off.
    Neither hand-wringing or token intervention will do anything.

    I would love to be wrong.
