Exactly. That was what I was hoping someone would see, this is the kind of "we have to make big splash to get money" science we really don't need or can afford. Basic science says you get data, formulate a hypothesis, and get data to prove it's reliability before you have fact.

Don't you think the physicists should have waited for a second round of confirmatory data prior to runn off in the journals? Isn't it customary to wait at least for a second set of observations prior to publishing?
