I think the country is moving rapidly towards a tipping point, where the takers will outnumber the producers. When this happens, hopefully enough of the takers will realize that it is important to keep the producers working and that it is possible to kill the "golden goose" or at least damage it enough that the goose will not be able to care for them. I am from a small farm in Idaho, but have been in the Corporate world for 30 years. Sometimes I find myself dreaming of owning a little farm in a mountain valley where I can take care of my family without interference and aggravation from the outside world. I guess that would be a little like Galt's Gulch, only with colleagues who thought similarly. Hopefully we can all get through this time and see a turnaround to a work ethic and economic prosperity.

We're already outnumbered and they will never see the error of their mooching ways and I, frankly, do not want to keep working to carry them on my back or to "keep caring for them"...as I do not care for them one tiny bit. And they do not care for me either, which is just fine with me provided they stopped taking my hard earned money. The "caring" has to stop or the mooching never will.

Welcome Jim. Very well said. I have a small family business and I am still in there fighting like Hank Reardon but one day we may have to just go it alone. Good luck to you.
