Why Conservatives Can’t Understand Liberals (and Vice Versa)

While we've been on controvercial subjects, why not this one.

Psychologist Jonathan Haidt says many people today live in a ‘moral matrix’.

Note these are the basics it is thought that might be hardwired into humans...some, anyway. Understand that as we grow up we adjust our understanding through experience and the demon temptations lingering in our brains.

Oh boy...this is gona be interesting...

    That's what progressives have done since the fall of the tower of Babylon...screwed up the meaning of our words.

    Interesting coming right on the tail end of a discusssion on AR and evolution. Haidt takes th opposite view to a point. then rightly leaves liberals stranded. How did he do that? he understands the basic definitions which is more than you can say of those that THINK but do not KNOW what the terms mean.

    I went in prepared to read some George Lykoff crap but came out duly impressed. There is a lot of objectiveness in the authors findings. Because he understands basic definitions.

    I gotta side with Ayn Rand on this one. Set it aside but keep an eye on it in case something new develops.

    Until then the give away words are, 'it is thought that might be' and then goes straight into objectivism.

    Some things can be taken on faith in the sure and certain hope of everlasting failure just like all the other times. Stick faith where you got credit Can you define conservative? Can you define liberal? Nothing has to be taken on faith cause it doesn't work. Not in money and for sure not in politics EXCEPT I have sure and certain faith anything the Republicans (right wing of the left ) will lie to us once more time and only those who play stuipid will think it's dandy. I have no faith in fifty years of failure and lies. Hell iyou can't even define center if the Democrats didn't show you every five minutes and they don't the answer either

    As for decimate it means kill ten percent nothing more and nothing less. deci one tenth mate kill. and to go one post up tht's because they can't define who or what they are much less act the part. It's a joke. Try a dictionary not this fairy tale fictionary crap.

    Nowwas that sarcastic enough to get someone off their couch potato butt to attempt to explan the terms? Only been 15 months of asking.

    Ah never mind it's probably that same tired old PC left wing crap and the definitions don't work .

    Lie with the pigs you get dirty and that's all conservative and liberal means to me.

    As I'm fond of repeating to no avail can aniyone anyone define conservative and liberal anymore? The words are meaningless not used correctly and the rest is spur of the moment for the moment leftist propaganda especially from the Republic side.

    Liberal and Conservative are garbage and crap and toilet flushings for sall the good they do - as words. Might fertilize some field somewhere.

    Politics makes no sense to me...never has...why can't they just do the right thing...oh yea...I forgot, they can't agree on that...one wants no morals, be what ever you will and collectively we'll all, except polititians, will take care of you when your crotch rots out and the other thinks or wishes you'd all take care of yourselves...what a world...

    Sorry, but Objectivsts lack some practicality when politics are concerned, dangerously so. That's why I'm a Conservative. Not everything can be cleanly aligned politically and some thing must be taken on faith. That said, an Objectivist president would probably help quite a bit, if he/she didn't get teh nation or our allies decimated.
