As said elsewhere I liked much of what he said and saw him one with the ability to take the old Republican Party and turn it into something worth having. After all he will inherit a going concern lacking only a valid purpose to exist. Much better starting point.

He has the ability to meld in certain other factions who are unrepresented. and that's one hell of a lot of votres. Strong enough to engage and defeat the liberals/ leftists/ progressives. but something was missing and has been missing for quite sometime and it was missing from his speech. Worse from the speeches of his supporters and their comments before duringi and after.

Something was and is missing. I will not counsel voting for him yet especially as he still is referred to as the lesser of two evils by too damn many of his own supporters.

Perhaps if his supporters could bring themselves to find positive reasons but they constantly refer to him as just another form of evil I can live with and that is not good enough. Not nearly good enough.

It appears on reflection Trumps biggest problem is his own people. They speak in terms of you have no other choice no matter how bad he is instead of you should vote for him because he is the only positive force strong enough tto make change in a positive way and not as just another evil politician.

Heal thy own group first. Then come knocking on our door. I don't think he understands the nature much less answers to the usefulness of those people around him.

I want something stronger and more credible that be labeled an automatic Hillary Supporter when speaking for or about Trump. He has no white horse to ride. but too many one word vocabulary and very naive syncophants.

And that's who I really distrust.

If the man can't excit more than skin deep loyalty and regard from his own how will he excite a nation?

It did not go un-noticed that the 100 day promise excluded everyone but Trump. Where's the Love?

The absence is that transparent.

Where's the ' Already welding togeher a team of top experienced people which also would serve notice that some seats of responsibility are going to be changed rather quickly.

Where's the Love and wheres his inteernal support other than those with their hands out?

Careful examination of Trump's life indicates that he is a crony capitalist [James Taggart type], bull-shitting con man, authoritarian statist with a penchant for admiring dictators, a proclivity for slut jumping, personality disordered, impulse control disordered, swindler on a massive scale, piece of trust fund human ballast who can't parse out a coherent sentence and whose alleged polices change as often as his underwear. He wants to get into the White House for two reason (1) ego and (2) cut out the middle man [lobbyists] while he "flips" a nation to line his own pockets. HIs ADHD, emerging senility, and vast ignorance of macro economics hint at trade wars caused by protective tariffs that would make the depression of the 1930s look like prosperous times. He has suggested defaulting on the nations debt rather than prudent fiscal policies to begin whittling it down. I doubt if he has any clue as the epic amount of unfunded liabilities. If you like big government; you will love YUGE government with Trump. He is actually worse than Clinton because he leads well meaning but naive people [The Cheryl Taggarts of the world] to believe that he exemplifies bona fide capitalists. Ms. Rand would have eaten him alive and spit out the pulverized bones. I wouldn't vote for him at gun point. And anybody who seriously considers it is a Branch Trumpidian who needs to do some homework and then check premises... for the next month.

Surely there is more substance than a. building an ice rink and good at campaigning or b. a new Branch Trumpidian Messiah.

And yet what I noticed is evident when the only two answers are so divided and his staunch supporters when asked to provide a reason other than Anything Is Better than Hillary have collectively and individually come up with nothing. His own staunch supporters have suddenly disappeared apparently having nothing to say.

So....I'll throw some more gas on the fire. If he has no support other than as a tool to get rid of Hillary and the match is even and when the match is fairly even with the Libertarians chewing up a good amount of votes a plurality is quite likely.

Which puts the question to the Congress. Current congress not the one being elected.

Who or what are they most lilkely to choose?

Stick with Hillary. Stick with Trump. Or choose a Romney (quite likely) or????? To get a required majority who would they choose?

It's your congress. Elected two, four, and six years ago.

Wikpedia reports The One Hundred-Fourteenth United States Congress is the current meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It is scheduled to meet in Washington, D.C. from January 3, 2015 to January 3, 2017, during the final two years of Barack Obama's presidency. The 2014 elections gave the Republicans control of the Senate (and control of both houses of Congress) for the first time since the 109th Congress. With 247 seats in the House of Representatives and 54 seats in the Senate, this Congress began with the largest Republican majority since the 71st Congress of 1929–1931.

Which makes us Hillary safe...or does it. Many are RIno's and even with the leadership are known for caving to the left which they joined to make what is easily seen as single party system

That was gallon number two and three of ye olde gas on the fire.

The peoples choice? Obviously Trump or ?

The Government Party's choice? Remember a majority is required and the deals to be made, chips to be gathered and saved in the big game are huge in value and amount.

The Establishment's choice the neo feudalistic neo aristocracy?

    https://olddominionlibertarian.wordpr...

Speaker Ryan comes up as the wheeler dealer King Maker. and the system if you haven't examined it is NOT what you think.

Read the rules carefully and...where the hell are the Trumpettes? Noticeably AWOL,

The ice rink is a great example of the difference between the way the government generally handles a project and how the private sector does.

The thing that stands out about Trump is that he has successfully completed many projects in the private sector, building things. All of the traditional politicians have experience using other people's tax money to achieve their goals. They haven't had to worry about a profit, or even if the project succeeds. Success for them means passing a bill.

Success for Trump means the building gets built, sold or rented and a profit is made. He knows how hard it is to make a billion dollars, they know how easy it is to spend it.

Do I expect him to turn the government into a minimalist state? Of course not, no one is going to do that at once. I just hope he straightens out the immigration stalemate and perhaps adds some more competence.

The concept that Hillary Clinton is competent at anything except political manipulation is absurd.

Truly the ice rink considering it's complexity and the time available was far more productive than the wasted four years pretending to be a SecState or six pretending to be delegate of the people. Your summation of political manipulation clearly took up the entire decade.

Other than Rand Paul, who I didn't think had a chance, Donald Trump was and is my favorite choice. I will admit that I like him more as what he has accomplished than how he has campaigned -- but I also admit that he knows a lot about the audience and how to play to it. And he won. And is likely to win again.

If you want to look at what I hope for in a Trump administration read about the Wollman Ice Rink:: http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/fea...
