I loved Kennedy, and I was in high school when he was killed. Now I realize (from numerous books) that the press willingly ignored the scaly underside of his life, and administration (Bay of Pigs). This opened my eyes as to the power of the press, and how they could blatantly dismiss their assigned duties....
The nation needs the truth on a daily basis to survive. The internet is fast becoming this source, but the average voter will not spend the time to ferret out the truth from propaganda.

There hasn't been an objective press since Eisenhower was in power, and McCarthy went after the communists in the State, and other departments.
