Scientists under attack

Ask a question, find a problem, question the process...you're attacked, you're threatened and your career is over...if not your life.

Sounds like the climate warming tactics? If they were on the up and up...why would they resort to gorilla tactics?
They have no idea how it effects us because they've never checked, watched or I suggest...cared.

Are they moral or immoral in their actions in the Ayn Rand world.

Olduglycarl, that's "guerilla tactics," kind sir.
Now I could insult gorillas by equating libtard antics to "gorilla guerilla tactics" but I won't.
Now I feel inspired to write "librtard hydrophobic wild chimpanzee guerilla tactics" but I won't insult chimps either.
Afraid old dino has always been hard on primates.
Back when I was a kid, "See ya later, alligator" was a popular thing to day.
So I just had to come up with the follow-up of "But not too soon, you big baboon."
That got a couple of laughs. Well, sometimes. Sigh.
    I better go.

You just caused me to imagine a furry Shillary walking on her knuckles.
Remember when she barked during a speech?
Now imagine her jumping up and down in front of a microphone.
        "Oo! Oo! Oo!"

While taking a shower, I had a revised vision of Shillaty.
She as a gorilla was "Oo! Oo!" jumping up and down excited over what she saw in a crystal ball.
Behind her was a large window filled with a huge air force of flying moneys flapping past.
I interpret this vision to mean that what she has in store for our future is only pretty to her.
            Don't worry, folks, I ain't psychic.
I've been called a creative person for years.
Ah, and also a bit off the wall.

Q: Who was our first president?'

A: Uh, uh, was it China?
At this point I can't take it any more and start channel surfing.

Accident of birth has failed as a standard as has education under the current system. I don't believe in wealth be it cash or land as a standard.

A voluntarily demonstrated demonstration and public witnessed participation in the responsibilities of citizenship preceding full rights of citizenship would be as rough beginning. With no 'isms involved. Service in voluntary service in certain institutions such as national defense, internal defense (military and police and fire/rescue/ departments) comes immediately to mind The already clearly stated reasons for government to exist without the artificial limits but that is not all.

A clearly understood demonstration of applied citizenship responsibilitres in a manner suggested by civics is another way of putting it.

Attending college or university is not other than if certain courses were undertaken with success. Heinlein's standby of History and Moral Philosophy of course.

Allosaur is correct in his includsion of that First Amendment incident. The mere fact we witnessed that and the shameful use of elected officials to supprt their highly suspect pet beliefs such as global warming is proof positive the American Public as a qualified voting pool is highly suspect. Calling for incarcerration, fines, mandatory time in re-education camps is for certain sure evidence of their inability to either vote or hold public office.

Why? Need you ask? It's fascist on it's face isn't that enough reason?

As for scientists to bring it back on track. Why should they have to hide their research results? Why are they hiding their research results. Proving something doesn't work is after all a step on the way of finding something that does work.

      Thank you, DBK!
That quote and a too large fraction of the comments I read recently in this forum, sound to me devoid of rationality, in addition to very numerous cases of careless writing. The latter I interpret as an expression of a passionate drive to express what I see as a fear of reason and, ultimately, of the facts in existing reality.
      Thanks again.

"I've just completed Mike's Nature trick...to hide the decline." Phil Jones, Director, Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia, Norwich, England, UK, couldn't have made it any clearer. Why speak of hiding a decline in the absence of a meaningful decline to hide?

And why did Kevin Trenberth call it a "travesty" that he and his colleagues couldn't show a warming trend? Did he even know what that word travesty means? If he did, he'd soon realize that if anyone is making a travesty--a grotesque burlesque--of scientific inquiry, it's he, Phil Jones, and the rest of that rogues' gallery.

Dishonesty like the Man-Caused Global Warming crap is totally immoral from every standpoint even "selfishness, i.e. rational self-interest."

Facts are facts period. Theories are not facts and a hypothesis is not a fact.

The problem is that people pawn off theories as fact, opinion as fact.

These things are no different that the discussions between Atheists, and Deists.

Neither can argue their point with provable repeatable empirical fact, only reason on their theories and "beliefs."

Atheists and Deists always find themselves at a stalemate but need to respect each others view for lack of fact.

To violently attack each other's theory and opinion based view is "immoral" only because 100% provable fact is not available.

Fortunately...this is Not a belief system. We see problems here, questions unanswered, and a whole lot of bad behavior. They are fighting the label laws, even those companies that want to label their own products-GMO free...now if they were honest and above board...Why would they do that?

In the climate warming tactics, a small group of so called climate experts try to destroy the careers of those who do not believe that humans are somehow changing the climate so that we are all going to die in a few hundred years.
In the anti GM food tactics, so called powerful companies who represent the mass of consumers try to destroy the careers of a few whistle blowers. So in the first case a small group of climate change artists try to destroy a larger group which sees no problem while in the second case a larger group of so called GM food users who see no problem are trying to destroy the smaller group of whistle blowers. In both cases the smaller group of whiners use career destroying tactics.
Remember that it is the dosage that makes the poison. In feeding studies, usually there is an extreme difference than in how a product would be used by a consumer. As for humans being used as test animals, all animals, including humans, in the wild are constantly subjecting themselves to new chemicals in foods just from mutations and cross breeding of plants. Nothing alive stays biologically the same for a life time.
I wouldn't worry about GM food, I get enough health issues just for being about 30 lbs overweight and short of starving myself find weight lose to be a problem, where it is not worth the time to run an obstacle course get the just right natural types of food. Unless you go out into an untouched wilderness and gather your food, there is no such thing as untainted healthy food. Worry about it is most likely more detrimental than just eating available food. Besides, if you do not like eating too many insects then there may be fewer insect parts milled into your cereal with the GM versions and far fewer than if you revert to the ancient hunter-gatherer methods. That is, if you eat cereals since there are those who believe that humans are not meant to eat grass type seeds.

GM Foods are not natrual in at all. We wonder why people are sick, and getting sicker, why people are having more cases od mental disorders, and people getting dimentia, and alzheimers younger and younger. Blame additives, and GMO's that the body was not designed to metabolize.

Ayn rand said it this way.

You can avoid reality...but you cannot avoid the consequenses of avoiding reality.

Reality is putting unnatural substances into the body is not good for us.

So why put unnatural substances into the body? The increasing life spans are partially do to unnatural substances in the form of drugs.
There are only natural substances, anyway. Just because a human creates a substance does not make it unnatural. How can a natural cause such as a human produce something that is not part of reality, nature?
Actually, Rand did not mean that you can actually avoid reality, since reality is not out there dictating what you can or cannot do, but that if you want to act physically or understand reality, reality must be obeyed. There are no actions that can be contrary to reality. A real result comes from any action, but not what you might wrongly believe for the result.
One just gets into a tied up mind by considering that human caused stuff is somehow not natural.
The natural versus human caused consideration is part of the basis for the human-is-evil and should be wiped from the Earth mentality.
People are living longer and more are saved from disease than ever before. There are more cases of dementia an Alzheimer's because people live longer and are not getting it younger. New possible treatment for amyloid plaque is in lab test stage. Seems that cannabinoids may remove the plaque in lab tests. Would be really good if it pans out since one of my dad's sisters died of it at age 60 and my dad had dementia at my age of 76.

That's no excuse, although, there used to be a time when ethical people, real people, conscious people only cross bread like species and had never presented a problem...why?...because nature did it, not man using bacteria, viruses from, not just unrelated species, but from animals...can you say, "Transmutations"...now does that sound like something nature would do...Ever? I don't think so...this is not your grandfathers " breeding a new kind of apple" here.

Oh...I am healthy...largely because I eat as natural as I can and take charge of my own health...meaning, I've stepped away from the prescription drugs, allopathic practitioners and the "Sickness Symptom, careless system".
Reply | Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink
      • Posted by lrshultis 7 years, 9 months ago
First of all, there is no actor "nature" involved, just things doing what they do relative to other things. Where do you get the idea that there are non-real people? And did not cross breed with other species, assuming that Neanderthals were and other species, but Neanderthal DNA being in many Homo sapien sapien shows interbreeding, though you will say you are not talking about what you consider non-conscious beings? So you will not eat new kinds of citrus fruit or fruit that has been genetically modified?
If a gene is used to produce a specific protein and does produce that protein whether in a plant or animal and the body can usefully use it, does it matter whether it gets it from the plant or animal? What would matter is how neighboring genes and junk DNA might affect the expression of the gene in the different life forms.
As for allopathic medicine, which is the usual medicine: suppose a means to turn on apoptosis in cancer cells were to be found. That would be contrary to the chemistry of the body and be allopathic medicine. Would you run from the cure because it would be allopathic in nature and require some kind of homeopathic medicine, either in minute doses or in larger doses?
You are what, about 60, just getting near the stage of life where little health problems become more numerous because there is a large chance component to the biochemistry of the body. I was fine until 74 when atherosclerosis made its nasty entrance. Have genetically related low HDL which stays at about 40 when it should be near 60. New drugs in testing stage are being dropped so far. They raise HDL to a desired level but did not reduce the rate of new heart attacks.
Is there any way to eat which is not natural? Should mankind stop thinking of how to improve life and go natural? Does the biochemistry of the body choose between glucose and fructose and other simple sugars depending whether they come from a natural source or not? Does the biochemistry of the body distinguish between a natural protein and get all whiny over a protein made from a GM gene?

First of all...there are humans and humanoids as I define them in my research and writing; meaning, consciously capable of self inspection and those that cannot. See: Julian Jaynes...I am taking it to the next level.
In your example, the Nephilim and Humans were similar, except for the ability of achieving Consciousness and having a natural mutuality with each other.

Second...the simple process you describe in altering a plant species is not what is being done. see: Altered Genes/Twisted Truth.

Third...allopathic medicine only addressed symptoms, not causes...Cancer is a symptom...the cause of which can be many things these days but mostly ingesting and being exposed to things incompatible with the human species.

Fourth...sorry to hear about your atherosclerosis. I wish you well.

The kind of aging we experience is not natural. The body, taken care of and fed properly would not experience these problems...however we were left to our own devices and incomplete information on the proper ways to take charge of our individual health.
There are some basic parameters that some have discovered...the best place to start is with your bloodtype and genotype...all else can be measured from there. see: http://right4yourtype.com.

I speak briefly about these things in my book.

    Hello Olduglycarl,
Without GMOs how many people in today's world would be starving? I disagree with stifling free speech as much as I question the fear-mongering. If science can genetically engineer DNA for the worse, it could also re-engineer those found to have adverse problems and make adjustments. No?
    Respectfully,

I suspect that the same people are starving regardless of today's poison food. They had the answer years ago, but the liberal political idiots were lobbied by all the other insecticide mfg's...now we really have a problem. I'm talking about DDT...that whole thing was likely a scam. That story is told also in the book I recommend below. I also knew one of the scientist that worked on DDT at Dupont...he was a Neothink mentor.

They were only trying to get rid of weeds and enable the plants to grow closer to each other. I hear there are better more natural methods to do that but never got around to vetting that out.
The problem is, they have no idea what the long time human health effects are; not to mention that the weeds have adapted and grow anyway and the genetic mutations have effected nature itself...they have not acted ethically:

If you get the chance read. Altered Genes/Twisted Truth, it is very detailed, from day one and backed up by tractor trailer loads of evidence.

All conspiracies aside...we should be allowed to ask questions and get honest answers because it's not nice to fool mother nature nor one's conscious human counterparts.

Finding he best way to increase usable crop and live stock production is a long process. Starvation is more iimmediate. Thus found out Rachel Carson and the DDT scare when she rightlfully ended up taking credit for becoming a mass murderer for NOT thinking things through, ot testing and not objectively finding out if the product was useful or not useful and those long term effects. Now she goes in history as someone to be reviled and feared.

Since they are creators. providing meaningful data and analysis to support the predetermined discussions, I suggest they are moral from the POV of their customers.. What does it matter that any data they obtain from the world around them is dropped, massaged or just swept under the proverbial rug if it doesn't fit the narrative.
From the POV of the critical thinker and true scientist, they most likely are not moral and are at best Amoral.

True butr then I would have written it as POV Privately Owned Vehicle from the beginning. Someone else would, after checking context have made mentioned of alternate uses of the three initials. Everyone would have gained. for exampel An AR-15 (Armalite Model 15) was adopted by the US Army as the M-16 (
Model 16 rifle while the inventor, (Eugene Stone)'s AR-10 in caliber 7.62mm) was adopted only by US Navy SEAL ((SeaAirLand) Teams commonly called the Stoner System. The .22 caliber AR7 is the survival rifle version used by the US Air Force. Thus no one especially newer and younger readers would walk away thinking AR7 meant an automatic rifle used by Sean Connery where it was claimed to be a .25 caliber.)

Not everiyone is cognizant of all the nomenclature, abbreviations and slang of different fields of study.

POV is a very recent usage based on some TV show or another and listed more often than not as slang instead of acronym where it is common to millions of those who served in the military as I Love 'My Car' as a tribute to Queen.

It is very useful in one legitimate defintiton used in filming.

There I have now expanded my knowledge base instead of wondering what kind of Californio is this supposed to be.

That's not the point. When providing facts, figures, and abbreviations it's the commonly polite thing to do in the first usage to provide a defintion. Until then no one but you really knows what you thought you meant to say but failed to do so. Further considering your attitude will have to consider anything and everything you say as suspect until you learn that basic lesson in communication. Happily i assume nothing. Evidence of sloppy writing is as bad as my own need to spell check the spell checkers

You don't speak for everyone when you cannot speak for yourself first.

POV has varied meanings the one copied from a TV show is merely the latest. Goat, Grant Turismo Omologato, Great Teacher Omozata, Gate 'Turn Off thyristor and Gran Turismo Over,

Back to POV i'ts asfilming method the first example given was filming one's own gratification

All examples of the need for being exact and always at the first use adding the meaning of the slang or acronym lest a reader think you are goating. AR when used with AR-15 or AR7 means Armalite not Automatic rifle.

Thus the exactness of objectivism is served, new and younger people are sent off with a n expansiion in their fund of knowledge and do not mistake the intent especially if it was a form of Geo-stationaryTerrestial Orbit or simply filming oneself which seemed to fit that particular boob toob offering.

            Short version it's common politeness.

Monsanto, like mnany chemical companies, are progit first, and shutting up discussion is part of that. Much like yhr ftuh infudyty.the drug industry. If people have to die, to keep a product alive, so be it. Open scientific discussion is not possible, people are dtripped of grants, threatened or worse. Who cares about their reproduction, as Gats already has that covered with "vaccines". I know someone whose fater was a government inspector for a chemical company. He was paid for years to keep quiet, millions. Now his daughter who his his paperwork, receives the payoffs. Why has our government put original seeds in Cheyenne Mountain, but th rest of the population is to eat modified food? It is about if you are in power, or just people. They have done the same with climate experiments, alter the jet stream and you alter the livehihood of people. But scientist are nt allowed to discuss that. It is looking more and more like a coming oligarchy.

There are at least two companies in Cottage Grove, Oregon alone that deal in the seeds yu wish to use. Google 'Non-genetically altered seeds for articles on NonGMO, purchasing the seeds themselves, how to keep Monsanto out of your garden, and a variety of other subjects.'

On your part it requires some growing space and in that respect a green house operation is a one useful way and hot wall growing in the south west or south.

Another research area is where to buy Non-altered bulk foods of the type you can't readily grow with a lot acreage.

In the more enlightened areas of the country regular shows with booths and displays cater to this life style.

One area they cover is backyard gardening. I couldn't remember the exact name but one to look out covers hot weather areas such as Arizona. The lady had to do it on city water a problem in itself but made a hot wall growing area. the part with a fence or house wall that attracts the most heat. Four by four posts set a foot or so away from the wall with four to five sort of net hammock lined with plastic sheeting and filled with dirt. Holes punctured in the bottom of the plastic and the water would drip through and down hammock to hammock ending up at ground level. The rest of the garden used the drip tube fittings. The plants arrayed in tiers featured vine tomatoes that draped as they grew.

All of this stuff has been around for a number of decades. A little research and don't forget Kindle has some for no charge or 99 cent fee to purchase the various books. We used to rely on Mother Earth and Backwoods Home but now it's all over the internet

Agree with everything except the "jet stream"...it's a natural cyclical change...see: suspicious0bservers.org for a more scientific and reasonable look at what is going on with the natural climate cycles. Western societies and the scientist with in have ignored the cycles for a long time.
