While this is clearly a biased article, imo, Gingrich can be trusted with power just as much as Trump, i.e., not at all. Gingrich betrayed the trust of his supporters during the Clinton administration. I would rank him down there with statist looter William Weld.

I wouldn't rule him out on this one interview, but I think he himself accepts too much of the false narrative on this subject. I saw an "alternative" (meaning objective) video in which the white interviewer interviewed black people in various New York City neighborhoods on their feeling about the NYPD, and by far most were highly complimentary and respectful of the police, and fully appreciated the danger of their jobs and the danger to themselves of the criminal/gang element. The same is true of interviews I have seen of inner city blacks in my hometown of Detroit. Just the phrase "notwithstanding black-on-black crime" early in the article simply ignores the most relevant point about black killings, and make the rest of the article also irrelevant. And even though I'm a "person of pallor", I clearly remember being taught respect for the police and proper behavior towards them by my parents and school. Another strawman...Newt's off-base on this...
