If an autocrat is extremely careless about emails and people die, that is a slap on the wrist. Too bad I can't sell insurance packages for email negligence. This would have made me a fortune.

My take on this is that Comey was told that no matter what he found, the crown prosecutors would not convict (i.e. orders from Lynch). Too bad Comey decided to give in rather than putting in the hands of the DoJ so we could see politics in action.

We did introduce a required referendum for anything over a million dollars but people just voted for everything anyway with the idea that they never will have to repay it or will have have moved away before it was due. Most of the residents did not care about it or thought that the public good was important enough to put everyone into debt or maybe they just thought that the rich people on the lake shore would do most of the paying.

Happening everyday in America, it seems like some kind of viral disease, "How corrupt can I get?". I am waiting for the "Take back America campaign" I guess it will have to start in the small towns and villages first. Problem is it is always an entrenched bastard who made money off lawyering or stocks who get into those jobs and bring their corruptness with them.

Good idea, and keep it flying that way until the country falls (and it will if this goes on, it is becoming blatant to the point none of the criminals even bother to cover it up or even lie well. Nixon had better lying skills than this crowd.

Government is corrupt down to its base in villages, towns, and cities with closed meetings and contradictory rules and regulations. As with the FBI chief, the laws are read by those who cannot or refuse to understand their contents. For example, in the small village where I live, the board members could not understand that when a law says that such and such AND other such and such must hold, both must hold. I pointed out that about 'and' but they said that they had found that the right side of the 'AND' was true and therefore they could proceed regardless of the left side. So now we, in a village of 1700, have an extra $23,000,000 debt which occurred after being debt free plus taking stimulus money with the requirement to repay adds extra to water bills for the unforeseeable future. Just on a smaller scale but just as corrupt as the big guy's government.

I would say that you are still correct, though. We have just been deviating away from that system for far too long. It is like an accelerating asymptotic curve.

But, it is deeper than that. We are living in some kind of an era with a plague of cognitive dissonance where words have lost their meaning. There is nothing that can be publicly anchored anymore. It is all smoke and mirrors and obfuscation.

My dad worked for the government as a QA inspector. It was his policy never to accept even a cup of coffee from a contracting company. Use of the bathroom facilities and drinks from the water fountain were his limit on the appearance of impropriety.

Comey did not want to die young and mysteriously as many did previously during the "Clinton years".

It's coming... wait until the "enemies lists" of 'terror watch list suspects' becomes an actionable target list by the military or federal law enforcement. We're being desensitized on private firearms ownership to the point that 45% of the population wants to storm-trooper through the homes of 55% and take their property in the name of 'peace and security'. That transpired into happening to be put on the 'enemies list' as justification to deprive someone of their constitutional rights - and it isn't much farther down the slope until being on that enemies list will get you rounded up for 'quarantine'.

Unfortunately, the left spent their youth smoking dope and bitching about others not working hard enough to pay the taxes to make their welfare checks more sizable instead of learning about history and the frailty of freedom in the world. They have no idea what they are being useful idiots in complicity with.
