The fine print says it all. They don't dare prosecute individuals who declare to the world, "Global warming is bunk!" It's not worth the trouble. Except for lottery winners, no individual has deep-enough pockets to make prosecution, and likely court reversal, worthwhile. (Although with the present Supreme Court, one never knows.)

Joint-stock corporations are another matter. The Democratic Party seems to have adopted, as an official finding, the old line that "the fossil fuel companies" knew all along that repeated use of their product was warming the globe, and did not see fit to inform their customers, their shareholders, or anyone else. Similarly, in California the law assumes global warming, and any company who says otherwise, in their product/service advertising or anything else, is guilty of "unfair competition" against the (preferred) solar battery makers, the wind turbine builders, and every other "business" with hippy appeal.

But the next step will be to prosecute individuals for aiding and abetting such "securities fraud" or "unfair competition."

This whole thing started over 20 years ago, and progressed until Agenda 21 got a name, then a new name as UN Agenda 2030. Even the UN does not care if there is climate change, they say it only matters if people think there is. From there, they can tamper with ever aspect pf our lives in the name of climate change. Never mention HAARP, in Alaska, Puerto Rico, or those in other countries, it is as if they do not exist, yet they change the jet stream. To mention those government programs would take away the power over the citizens. As to the Dem. plank, some who have read it, say it starts with the oil companies, but the fine print leaves it clear anyone expressing doubt in public is included in possible police action. When Southern law enforcemtn undergoing training were asked, "Would you be willing to use guns against US citizens to enforce Agenda 21?", says these people are off the rails past any science and into power over the people.

This article is (purposely?) mistitled. Nowhere in the text does it say that the Dem platform calls for "prosecuting" GW skeptics. According to the article, it calls for "investigating" same.

This is just a comment on the misleading title - not to be construed as approval of the platform!

I recently tried to read This Changes Everything. Klein says she used get upset by global warming, until she realized it was a great way to sell socialism. She says she used to hope for a solution, but now she says any thought of fixing it without socialism is denialism and false hope. I think AGW is one of the biggest threats and it will be as hard to solve as carrying out the Apollo program using crude computers and slide rules. Her politicizing the problem makes it worse.

Maybe they should add that it will be illegal to promote that the earth is flat too. Hmm, what about evolution and other disputed thoughts.

It is more and more obvious that ALL of the members of the democratic party especially those who work in it directly are products of THEIR school system. Stupidity breads stupidity.

AGW is a powerful political tool because it engenders fear and apprehension. Its value as science is dubious at best. Lib-Progs think all problems can be solved by punitive measures and give no thought to positive incentives for problem solving. It's not in their nature.
