The writer knows that no one can refuse to pay the tax for social security/medicare, and neither could Rand. I don't see that the accuser examined the tax records to determine if Rand was forced to pay more into the system than was eventually returned in services. Of course, its easy to accuse, and requires work to prove ... unless you just find people guilty without proof.
