    One of the best statements of all time - especially considering the position of the quoter. There will never be another quite like Reagan - unfortunately for us.

    Mankind left to its own devices will commit some ugly errors but if allowed, they will self correct. Government intervention, even when done with the best intentions, always creates unintended consequences.

    Yup. A free economy is one unfettered by government controls. It's why the Founders relied on import taxes on goods to fund the federal government and why income taxes and corporate taxes are one step towards statism.
