writing friend of mine has out a new book for pre-order-here's what he has to say: "This book is the product of four years of research, and documents 200 reasons why Obama ranks at the bottom of all U.S. Presidents. I’ve set the pre-order price at a mere 99 cents, a real bargain for such a thoroughly documented book, but my goal is to make sure as many people read as possible!"

Well I remember Jimmy Boy, and he did nothing to make anyone in the submarine service proud, we disowned him as an aberration.

Khalling you silver tongue devil I couldn't resist and tht led to two Pressfield's I'd still like to see a later version after the Jan 20th finale with comments beyond that on the impact of his budget and his other products and how they shaped the next administration.
    Thanks

Your response here is not an argument to refute my position or to support yours. It is not logical.

I've dabbled in oil painting for decades as well as worked with chemical color dye manufacturing professionally. I have a pretty decent understanding of pigments, dyes, and color creation using same. Before you accuse someone else of having an issue with logic, perhaps you should check your own premises first.

Hi, prof611. Nice link, but I think the operative term here is "subtractive". That is, pigments can also have a subtractive characteristic on the color spectrum. Here, combining select pigments with certain subtractive qualities can result in an area absent of color, which is black. The black your eye sees in the example is not a result of adding three colors, but is the result of subtracting all color.

You are right. Not much has changed in politics. Each election is "the most crucial ever," and the nastiest, etc., etc., and yet it is really the same old thing. I was surprised to learn from the book “War is a Lie” the same motivating arguments to get us into wars were repeated for each war starting from the beginning of the country, are still repeated to this day

I was surprised at just how interesting the correspondence was, Abigail and the kids were witness to battles visible from their home and within earshot of the battles in Boston, under those circumstances, over a period of 30 + years I would describe John`s being hundreds of miles from his home, sometimes overseas, working to keep the revolution going, while knowing his family and home were in the thick of it as service to the Nation - before it actually was a Nation. I was also struck at just how similar it was then to how it is now, with regards to politics.

Interesting. Maybe we need to redefine the term "service" to our country. Regret it or not, he did it. Doing it is the crime. Besides, ask any government official, if the statement does not laud them, then it is false.

Obama is worst than the worst. Like anti-matter destroys matter, he is the anti-president. If Mrs. Clinkton is elected and carries on his "legacy" the presidency as we know it will be destroyed entirely along with great chunks of the Constitution. Trump will make inroads in this same direction but nowhere near the degree that Clinkton would.

Just read a compilation of letters between Abigail and John Adams during the beginning of the revolution until her death. It seems that the anti sedition issue was regretted in later years(Jefferson repealed most of it) and seems to have been fostered by the truly cruel and nasty political tactics of the times, it was originally designed to outlaw false statements about govt officials. That said, it was a colossal irony coming from one who lived the war for Liberty from day one and spent most of his life in service to his Country.

Lincoln - Effectively turned a voluntary union of states into a prison sentence with a term of forever.

LBJ - Escalated Vietnam but most destructive of all started the whole diversity/multiculturalism farce. With the assistance of Edward Kennedy changed the immigration sources from western cultures to anywhere but. Leading to what we are beginning to truly experience now...balkanization... anyone think that is a good outcome?

Every president has made some decisions we have judged as mistakes with the benefit of hindsight. Many innocently, but not always.

But what happens when it gets sand and sea spray on it [grin]?
I like both formats for different reasons. Old books feel great and can take abuse that electronic ones can't. OTOH, I like to read myself to sleep using my phone and an epub book. Don't need a light on to keep me from drifting off and the phone just sleeps a few minutes after I do.
A toast to good books!!! [clink]

More good examples, Tech. Let's not omit Lincoln and LBJ, renowned war criminals, from the race either.
There are plenty of traitors to blame.
