A lesson in the cost of freedom, as well as the ability of an embattled government to try to stop it. A lesson for us, when the US starts having all of us fingerprinted for "proof" of something or another.

Exactly, and something to watch out for here, especially with the Gun Control frenzy. I can see that coming as a condition to buy or register a gun in the future.

They're being fingerprinted because he sees them as criminals and is prepping to haul them in for reeducation.

And the U(n) United Nations think that everyone is on the same page and now is the time for open borders...seems the Ghost of Orwell and Rand have visited that land.

Maybe they just want an accurate database of who are the dissidents? So they know who to go after?

The Venezuelan government is demanding that all people who signed a petition for the ouster of Maduro get fingerprinted. This could be a sign that Venezuelans have realized the error of their ways, or it could be the first step in a government crackdown on its political enemies.

My Venezuelan students are afraid to go home. One is doing excellent work on a research project with me this summer.
