Sounds as though where you live is becoming a Spanish-speaking enclave. 2 recent encounters with individuals living in homogeneous enclaves: 1) an African-American man who said it would be good for his teenage daughter to learn that there could exist whites with whom they "broke bread," 2) a 50-something woman who had never been to a wedding/knew only one (elderly) married couple.

Agreed that Athens, TN is a more inspiring example, but IF the actions of those aboard Flight 93 saved the lives of many more on the ground, it would still be applicable.

What homogeneous enclaves? Where I live I can't even talk to some of my neighbors. I need to learn Spanish.

An elder I respect holds the belief that 50 years ago America WAS less divided. Mostly because almost every extended family had both members who had served in World War II (many overseas as well as with others from across the nation) and members in both the city and rural lands. Now, it seems, most know few (if any) outside their homogeneous enclaves. I am hopeful, however, that the intelligent, moral, individually tolerant, geographically mobile, young people I know are representative of their generation and that the current Balkanization can be reversed.

I am bothered by the notion that the politicians have a no fly list and think it should be used to curtail rights of any kind. If they have evidence and suspicion enough to put someone on a no fly list, why aren't they doing their job and getting these people off the street in the first place? Seriously, this makes no logical sense. They feel they have evidence enough to impede someone's travel, and deny them their rights without due process! Yet, they do not follow through, investigate and either remove them from suspicion, or arrest them? To me this sounds like a star chamber intentionally set up to deny due process. It is apparent they are failing to do their job and when someone they should have arrested commits a crime, they do not look at their own failure, but instead, look to make more redundant, useless laws that criminals will not abide by. In the end it is the law abiding that are further endangered, abused and denied their right. How is that justice?

Gutfeld is right. The press and politicians are stressing the wrong things - on purpose., The people are too stupid to question it, they have been taught to look for victimhood, not evil eveil politicians and inept FBI procedures. This is just another in the long line of Agenda 21 tactics using Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" Set race or sexual preference against others and create chaos, leading to socialism. People could get along just fine, except maybe Islamic terrorists, it politicians and the media did not stir up chaos on purpose. How many times does Obama have to say that the call to prayer was the greatest sound her ever heard, or that he would always stand with Islam, before people hear him? How mnay millions does Hillary have to take from Muslims, who do not allow women freedom, and then say she support women's rights, before someone sees the contradictions here? No, guns never hurt anyone without the at of some human, and maybe some humans sould be banned, but not guns. This election should be over one issue, which candidate will stop implementation of UN Agenda 21, and the loss of property rights and many other freedoms which come with it! This whole bathroom issue and gun issur are intention distractions from the whole picture.

The reason American public opinion wasn't as noticeably divided (and firmly fixed on both sides) in the '70s and '80s was that the MSM had much less competition. Our side, the side of freedom and justice, was the one that largely didn't exist, or at least wasn't visible.

Therefore the change from then to now is a good change. We simply need to go the rest of the way and complete it -- either by persuading enough people so that we control the country politically, or by creating a new country for ourselves whether or not it means civil war or revolution.

We've waited long enough.

Moderating ourselves just to get back the harmony whose loss Gutfeld laments = surrender. That would be tantamount to the end of Western civilization. It must not happen.

The magical firearm.
In Gutfeld's example, no lessons in the use of the medical fantasy was needed. Guns are not the same. I shoot. I miss. The Terrorist shoots me. The use of a hand held pistol or revolver requires practice. Just because you point it at something doesn't mean you'll hit it. I'm all for carrying a firearm, but Please know how to use it.

Totally agree with the fact that none of the proposed rules addresses a real problem. Black scary guns, bad. Warm wooden guns...ok. Just more rights violations like the TSA, that do nothing for public safety.
I also totally agree, that there is NO WAY to shoot 50 people in a space like that if the 50 people want to put an end to your spree. NO WAY. The only way this works is the yelling "fire" in a theater approach with prey animals.
I watched this happen in Palm Bay FL when I was in college. One very old man went nuts, shot a bunch of people and then held a bunch of people hostage in a K-mart for hours. The first "policeman" to respond, emptied his revolver at the guy, walking at him across a two lane highway. Then he fumbled his speed loader, and the old man walked around the car and shot him. Later. at the K-mart. the pathetic "police force" from three towns couldn't even get the wounded out of the parking lot. Except for a few, humans are herd animals.

The whole debate against guns really has a hidden agenda. So much of what we hear in the media are just arguments to promote hidden agendas, and we have to identify the hidden agendas, rather than actually debate whats said.

In the case of the anti-gun rhetoric, the agenda is that the government wants to disarm its citizens so they cant revolt against a bad government (like the british one back in colonial days). Thats the REAL reason for the NSA, and the anti-gun laws. I say the government could care less about 93 gay people in some night club. They dont want to think of it as a terror attack but something that was caused by the availability of guns- so they can mobilize support to disarm everyone.

When a politician speaks, ignore WHAT they are saying and instead try and figure out WHY they are saying it- what hidden agenda they are promoting.

Nothing in the article, nor in the murdering rampage that happened in Orlando requires any increase in statist power or reduced individual rights. You can be sure that those two things will be the only result from the federal fascist government. The author is correct in concluding that the people have been brainwashed and distracted from the real issue and that the real perpetrators are terrorists.
The terrorists who created this situation are not only the scum who pulled the trigger, not only the Muslim madmen who inspired him.
The terrorists that we, the people, should blame first and the ones we can peacefully retaliate against are in the Dark Center of Washington DC.
They created this target rich environment by
(1) violating the constitution and their oaths to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution by passing gun restrictions
(2) repeated failing to stop the immigration (both legal-by executive order- and illegal) of people with known connection to Islam
(3) repeatedly using US armed forces and intelligence operatives to meddle in other regimes who did not threaten America, helping to create enemies where none existed, and giving aid, arms, and comfort to the enemies.
Those domestic terrorists are both Republicans and Democrats.
Both parties have proposed and acted on policies that caused this environment.
Neither party is moral, or ethical. Both are evil.
Stop wasting your votes on the GOP and on the Democrats.

Taken out of context, both would be right. Unfortunately Democrats appear to be irrational, brainwashed, unthinking morons since they look at the history of gun control and get it completely backwards, as usual. Every act of gun control is ostensibly passed to reduce firearms in the hands of criminals. Every act of gun control has resulted in fewer firearms in the hands of honest, ethical people without any effect on guns in the hands of criminals. The consequence is that when a madman intent on killing goes on a rampage he wisely chooses a "gun free zone" where he has no initial chance of being shot at by an intended victim. Yes, the 103 casualties in Orlando happened because of gun control. Orlando happened because of TOO MUCH GUN CONTROL. Both the Democrats AND the Republicans are at fault because neither party has repealed the laws when they were in power to do so.
If you want these murdering rampages to stop, then stop acting like you aren't also partly to blame. You put the Republicans and Democrats in office over and over even though they betray you over and over. Neither major party is the lesser evil. Stop supporting evil. Vote Libertarian.
