Comment: That was obvious. Side Note. Eugene Stoner invented the AR for Armalite system. AR7 in .22 cal as survival rifle used by the Air Force and by James Bond in From Russia With Love. Never made in .25 cal. AR10 in 7.62 turned down in favor of M14 used by SEALs as the Stoner System. AR15 in .223 caliber replaced the M14 and M14A3 as the M16 and the CAR15 as the short barrel version. CAR for Carbine. Stoner sold out to Fairchild Hilliers or worked for them at the time or both.... Colt bought it from I seem to recall Fairchild.
