I am a conservative man at heart and I am terrified for America if it stays in the same political state it is now

    I wanted to give Lets Shrug's comment five votes. I have grown children who haven't decided to shrug yet and I'm worried for their prosperity

    Zach, "Terrified" is pretty close to how I feel too at the moment. (Abstract concept or not.)

    When you have kids, that you are going to some day leave behind, in "America" (or what used to be America), it amplifies your fears. I'm sure if I didn't have kids I would adjust more easily than I am at the moment.

    Don't be terrified for America, it's an abstract concept. Think about taking care of yourself and the people you value.
