Darts' tiny Web server has one unique feature: it doesn't connect to the Internet, and it keeps no logs of any kind. Anyone who connects to the PirateBox's WiFi network is automatically directed to a basic Web interface for uploading and downloading files to the box, but privacy and security concerns mean that only local access is provided.

- 1Posted by $ MikeMarotta 12 years, 1 month agoPretty cool. I was impressed with the use by emergency workers. They have large (larger and larger) and evermore complicated networks. WebEOC is a monster that everyone is using. It is fine and all, but of the 4000 emergencies monitored each day here in Texas, most stay local though crossing lines of duty - EMT, fire, police, sheriff, maybe a hospital. The need for anonymity and security is also clear. Thanks for the link.| Permalink
