Maybe those that would feel compelled to act on a suggested "Plot" for a Novel should be "Band" for society for a week or too...maybe even for life.
It's in our own self interest to stand with anyone to speak, not to mention the person that allowed a person to speak on his show...what you say next time, might land YOU in hot water.
