This woman is not American, but she is a human being. Her child of 20 months is in this prison with her. This is what we can expect if, as a nation, we continue to make concessions, and to not open our eyes to the true threat that Islam poses. The cruelty and intolerance are the binding fabric of the teachings. There is no softening of their stance if one is not Muslim. This story starkly shows this intolerance.

    Actually, the imperialism of the Caliphate started in the 12th-13th century. See the histories of Romania, Hungary, the various 'stans in Southern Russia. You can also count the incursions into central Europe during the time of Charlemagne (see the Song of Roland) M..d preached forced conversion through outright threat of death or reduction to slavery for non-Muslims. Dhimmitude is a form of taxation which will reduce one to slavery as exactions become increasingly onerous.

    Actually, the cruelty and intolerance are relatively modern interpretations that didn't start to proliferate until the 1950s when the Soviet Union started spreading Marxist ideology into the middle east.
