Has anyone seen "The Passion of Ayn Rand"?

My library just received this movie, and the plot seems to be based upon fact although shown through the eyes of Tinsel Town.

Just wondering is anyone would recommend watching it....

I've seen it. It's actually through the eyes of Nathaniel Brandon's wife so I'm not so sure the light in which she is presented is completely true. Either way...it's mostly about her private life and seems to attempt to discredit her... in a way.
Watch it and tell us what you take away from it, RR.

  If emphasising Rand's adultery with Nathaniel Bandon discredits her in anyone's opinion, please keep in mind that her two greatest female characters, Dagny Taggart and Dominique Francon, engaged in adulterous relationships in The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
  
  At least, according to the screenplay, Rand was open about it with her husband and Nathaniel Brandon's wife.

    I don't remember the movie really getting into her philosophy much in an understandable way...(I watched it over a year ago, perhaps I forgot). She was honest about her forever affair with Brandon, her husband knew...but I think the overall effort was to tarnish Rand by putting the focus on something private rather than her ideas. She wasn't discredited in MY eyes, but if you're not familiar with her writings etc you might walk away from the movie scratching your head. Note I said, "...in a way". As I was trying to not "spoil" the plot for RR in case he didn't already know details. lol

      I thought about putting a "SPOILER ALERT" at the top of my post, but the DVD label provides even greater "details" of the affair (I read it first ;-)

        Maybe RR didn't read the label... just kidding. He probably did. Maybe that's what prompted him to ask if it was worth watching to begin with. It'll be interesting to hear his take on it after he sees it.

        My take was already that it would exploit anything unconventional about her, outside of her teachings. The movie description revealed the elicit relationship in my link. I just didn't want to see some tripe Hollywood BS designed to discredit her philosophy.
